A solid size, a powerful frame, lowering a series of gears, an uncertain rear bridge, well, why are such cars needed? There is no doubt: these are serious horses that relate to medium -sized SUVs. Of course, this is not a cruiser and not a classic Pajero, but you can’t call them to the SUVs. Moreover, they are offered at quite affordable (relatively most famous SUVs) prices: both the one and the other model can be bought for about 30,000. e.
Pajero Sport is generally a heroic model. Still, it has been on the conveyor since 1998 (diesel modification is faster, but not much), but still enjoys great success. A strict appearance, without any frills, chopped shapes, not a single dealers of the dealers say: they love an athlete for this. We can confirm they love, and how many -month queues, and among those who can be considered a direct competitor, it is not inferior in terms of sales to anyone.
Kyron has no such fame yet. Although something suggests that the situation will change soon: just while it is in the shadow of another Ssangyong Rexton. Their technical differences, by the way, are insignificant, and obviously great popularity of one entirely on the conscience of the distributor. As stated in a famous joke, the difference between them in PR. Outwardly, Kyron is more avant -garde and even caused. The difference in interiors is just as noticeable, although both cars do not shine with delights. The dimensions of both allow you not to worry about free space in the cabin. The ceiling of Mitsubishi seems more hanging over you, but the differences in this parameter can be considered insignificant.
The design of Pajero Sport could be called boring, but you somehow do not pay attention to this on the road. Rather, let's call it classic: complete symmetry in everything. The review is good, even despite the small surface of the windshield, the seats have tangible side support, and the instrument panel, although it carries imprints of the past, is read flawlessly. You can only complain about the insufficiently convenient adjustments of the chair. To sit at the right distance, I had to suffer.
After a first glance at the driver's place in Kyron, I wanted to squint. What is the symmetry here, what are you talking about? Designers, of course, did not turn the salon of a car capable of solving serious problems into stalls with toys, but they worked their money honestly, offering an unusual combination of puffy buttons and strict straight lines. Is it possible to figure out where is what?
It turned out that it was possible, and without any problems. Unexpected solutions on the central console are actually not confused. The review through the frontal and rear windows here is perhaps worse, but the side mirrors are obviously larger and more convenient. The chairs are much softer here, as they say, for an amateur.
Comparing the dynamics of cars is not entirely correct. Our Pajero Sport could boast of a 170-horsepower gasoline engine (the car can also be equipped with a 2.5-liter 100-horsepower diesel engine) and an automatic checkpoint. Kyron was on the mechanics, but as for the engine, there was no choice: only a two -liter turbodiesel of 141 liters is installed on this model. With. So, a frisky reaction to the gas pedal in Mitsubishi, just like Ssangyong, more restrained, did not surprise. If you do not take into account the understandable difference in the dynamics of acceleration, we can say that in urban conditions, cars behave similarly.

Ssangyong Kyron
The most affordable Kyron costs from 836 500 rubles. The basic configuration includes ABS, the capacity of the driver and the front passenger, the GUR, the air conditioning, the adjustment of the driver's seat in height, the heating of the seats, the immobilizer, the electric windows and the electric grinder. A version with an automatic box costs from 890 500 rubles.
Snow test what could be better for such cars? There are irregularities, and problems with friction, and slides and most importantly white virgin lands.
Kyron begins. With a light movement of the hand, in the literal sense of the word, you just need to turn the handle: we go into mode 4n. Start confident, almost without slipping. The car slightly leads from side to side, but this is most likely a question for rubber.
The suspension is completely not stiff. Especially relative to the opponent. Accordingly, there is swinging, rolls, but attention! She has not been broken at once even on the most unpleasant pits. But we jump so that, it seems, the things that were not visible in the cabin are about to fly through an uncovered window. Vertical swinging is very noticeable.
Huge plus activity at low speeds. The harsh diesel gear, low gear and we get out of deep snow, leaving behind us an impressive size of the track. The optional rear differential of increased friction helps: even when hanging one of the rear wheels, the car does not stand still.

A basic SUV with a 2.5-liter turbodiesel and mechanics can be purchased from $ 29,350. Now the turn is Pajero Sport. Full -wheel drive switching, and then to a low gear, is given with great effort: on Mitsubishi there is a classic levers of the distribution, and you can’t move it with a little finger. The veteran holds the road excellent free swimming. The suspension move seems smaller than that of Kyron, and it is tangibly tougher. Each unevenness is played out on the body, and the speed has to be reduced to ensure acceptable comfort. But there is a very pleasant feeling of caring, its excellent reviews to the turns of the steering wheel, allowing you to use your reaction for the benefit of a confident driving.
We draw conclusions: both cars, without false modesty, deservedly wear the title of SUVs. Of course, their geometric cross -country ability is less than the main classics, but they are much cheaper. When it comes to the convenience of operation in other, less difficult conditions, the differences become more noticeable. Mitsubishi proves that it is not for nothing that Sport has the end, imposing aggressive riding to its owner. Ssangyong is more impressive and not so rapid.
