Honestly, the upcoming Roomster test did not cause much enthusiasm. I do not look like a potential buyer of this car - most often I drive alone, from personal things I only drive a camera, and the route usually looks like moving from point A - a house to point B to work.
The Black Miceroven Roomster in the Sport configuration looks impressive and even a little aggressive: large headlights, large air intakes, beautiful cast drives with low -profile rubber. Inside is very spacious, and the roof is glass, which can be safely called the main creator of a positive mood! The central console with a large monochrome LCD display, which is responsible for parking sensors and a multimedia system, looks boring, but it is convenient to use it. Large indication, large buttons will not be mistaken. The climate control control unit is a little higher. Everywhere an uninteresting combination of black with gray. The driver's seat is quite successful, it’s a pity only, there is no lumbar adjustment. The steering wheel is adjusted both by inclination and by departure.
Everything is convenient and logical, with the exception of the gearbox lever. With a thrown armrest, it is necessary to switch the programs with some unnatural movements, since the lever is at the level of the wrist, not the palm. To switch the brush has to bend. And to turn on the rear gear - the lever needs to be drowned, and it turns out to be too low. Maybe initially Roomster was planned to be equipped only with machine guns? Of course, over time, you can adopt, but why such a puncture happened during the design, it is not clear.
Thanks to the high ceilings, the rear seats were made above the front ones, which gives passengers an additional review and confidence. Since I had a van on the test, the four of us with friends decided to go out of town. According to them, the back was very spacious, and a large area of \u200b\u200bglazing creates a positive mood. The rear places are equipped with adjustments, not only longitudinal, but also transverse! If desired, you can take out the average section or even leave one seat by regulating it as you wish. Also during the test I happened to meet a man with things at the station. Taxi drivers on the Volga and Lada watched with envy how I folded seats in two counts, turning the salon into a spacious trunk. With seats taken out, its volume reaches an impressive 1780 liter.
In the city, the power of a four -cylinder engine is 1.6 liters. and with a capacity of 105 hp Enough enough. But on the highway when loading, overtaking should be planned in advance, but this does not cause discomfort.
On good asphalt, the smoothness of the course and the soundproofing is not bad, but on the coating with average quality, it frankly shakes, the suspension is noisy. Getting in the turns for patches, the car strives to change the trajectory. For the first - thanks to low -profile rubber, and for the second - the rear half -dependent suspension. Nevertheless, driving Roomster, you do not feel behind the wheel of a truck. This is an ordinary passenger car - no high rolls or early squealing rubber in corners. Everything is stable and reliable. Adaptive lighting helps to ride at night. In turns, the beam of light turns after the turn of the steering wheel, and when the turn sign is turned on, the side fog lights up. At the same time, halogen headlights shine no less effectively than xenon. When driving irregularities, shields with signs located half a kilometer are illuminated by near light like a spotlight.

We parted with Roomster, we are friends. When I took it on the test, I did not think that a spacious salon would come in handy, but it turned out the other way around. Roomster helped to carry both goods and people comfortably. Would I like to operate such a car daily? Why not, but only after I will get children!

When a few months ago, Skoda announced the price and configuration at Roomster, to put it mildly, surprised the policy of the Czech company. The numbers touched too large. However, after the Ford Fusion and Nissan Note recently rose, it turned out that Roomster could already compete with them. Moreover, in fact, this is a very pleasant car in all respects. Although the same Nissan Note provides a little more bells and whistles for the same money. Therefore, it would be very nice if Skoda reduced the price at Roomster, which has not yet boasted the ideal price/quality ratio.
