On a long trip to Peugeot
Over the past two years, the modeling range of Peugeot cars has been completely updated. Even completely new models, such as Partner Tepee, were subjected to restyling. Recently we tested the updated version during a long run in Belarus.What's new? In 2012, the design of the front part of the car changed: it has a new grille of the radiator, emblem, headlights. Daytime running lights appeared (starting with the Active version). Among other changes, new caps on wheels and new rear lights. There are two new colors in the color scheme: NoCciola and Rich Oak. Peugeot Partner Tepee is presented in two versions: a van and a station wagon. Moreover, they differ not only in the type of body, but also by power units and equipment. The van is produced in two performance: a short cost of 544 thousand rubles. and long 621 thousand rubles. In the long version, the volume of the cargo compartment is increased due to the rear overhang, the wheelbase of both options is the same. Only two configurations are available in the van: the version with a short body is equipped with a gasoline 90-horsepower engine of 1.6 liters, and with a long body of the same power. Regardless of the type of body and engine, all Partner Tepee cars with 5-speed manual gearboxes.
Buyers of cargo -passenger versions have more choice. The most affordable car in the Access configuration worth 599 thousand rubles. It is equipped with a 90-horsepower gasoline engine. In a richest Active configuration, a car with the same engine will cost the buyer 646 thousand rubles. The machine in this configuration is also available with a 120-horsepower gasoline engine (680 thousand rubles). Also in the lineup there is a well -equipped version of the Family Edition worth 701 thousand rubles. This modification is offered only with a 90-horsepower gasoline engine. On cars in the Family Edition configuration, side and window pillows are installed, the front seats, rear parking sensors, side sunglasses for rear passengers, three separate rear seats, air conditioning. In other trim levels, all these useful things have to be ordered separately.
A mansion in the Partner Tepee lineup is a version of Outdoor with an original exterior and increased road clearance. It was such a car that we managed to test. Partner Tepee Outdoor is equipped with only a 120-horsepower gasoline engine. The cost of this car is 721 thousand rubles. Outwardly, the Outdoor version is distinguished by original bumpers with unpainted elements, a chrome -colored radiator bars and fog headlights, a lining on the rear door, Outdoor emblems, longitudinal rails are installed on the roof. This car is well equipped, the basic configuration includes side and window pillows, mirrors and glass with electric drive, air conditioning (climate control was installed on a test machine). Road clearance compared to the base version is increased by 7 mm in front and 10 mm behind. As an option only for the Outdoor version, the electronic distribution system of the torque of the GRIP Control is available in combination with the ESP stabilization system that simulates the interval differential lock (25 thousand rubles).
On the go, Partner Tepee Outdoor pleasantly surprised. The machine pleased with excellent ergonomics, the steering wheel is adjusted by departure and angle of inclination, excellent seats with armrests, high landing provides an excellent review. In terms of dynamics, Partner Tepe with a 120-horsepower engine is practically not inferior to ordinary cars. It was also surprised that fuel consumption at a speed of 120 km/h was only 7 l/100 km. Exactly the same amount is spent by Peugeot 308 with the same motor and in the same road conditions. But Partner Tepee is much heavier and more hatchback.
Another opening of Partner Tepee Outdoor is quieter on the move than Peugeot 308, which indicates good sound insulation and aerodynamics of a cargo -passenger machine. The suspension also provides high smoothness and good handling.
Does this car have disadvantages? There is one, and it was revealed only on the long journey. If the driver and front passenger on Partner Tepe are provided with comfort, even more than in a passenger car, then in the back row everything is much worse. It makes itself felt that the car is made on the basis of the van. A short -seat pillow, a small angle of inclination of the back, there are no side armrests, but the most important claim is ineffective ventilation, the rear windows do not fall, they can only be opened to a small angle, which gives practically nothing, there are no air ducts to the rear seats. Well, nothing can be done, it is difficult to create the perfect car for all occasions, at the same time inexpensive.
So if you look for a car for long -distance travels in a large company, it is better to opt for cars more suitable for these purposes, such as Peugeot 308 SW, Peugeot 408, Peugeot 508, Peugeot 3008. But as a universal car for work and rest, Short trips to the cottage, as well as for traveling together with a large volume of equipment Partner Tepee, especially in the Outdoor version, is almost the perfect choice. This car successfully combines the practicality of a cargo -passenger car, the cost of an inexpensive car and the road clearance of the crossover.
On the way back from Belarus to Moscow, we rode on the usual Partner Tepee in Active configuration with the same 120-horsepower engine as on the Outdoor version. It is clear that the dynamics and running qualities of these cars are almost identical to it, but Outdoor is much quieter on the go. During a detailed examination, it turned out that the only difference between the two cars that could affect acoustic comfort, the flooring of the floor in the luggage compartment at the Outdoor version, which the car has no in the basic configuration. Therefore, based on our experience, the owners of Partner Tepee Tip: Do not be too lazy to lay the carpet in the trunk and you will not recognize your car on the go, it will become quieter than a car.
