Test drive Nissan Qashqai 2007 - 2010 SUV

Game in contrast

Crossover - it sounds proud. And the city crossover - you must agree, is somewhat strange. Bye. Nothing, soon we will probably get used to it - there will be more and more cars with such an ideology. The director of the Nissan European design studio Schwartz regarding his leadership, Qashqai, says the following: this is a car of contrasts for the world of contrasts. Well, the fact that the world is contrasted to complete disharmony, we have long been feeling, especially on the roads. Here, indeed, a car is a contrast. But, preferably, at the same time harmonious.
Turtleneck. When I was invited to Barcelona to roll the new Nissan Qashqai crossover, I rejoiced terribly, and that's why. The combination of the words of Barcelona, Nissan and the crossover (or SUV) causes me nostalgia for a jeper school tied with the Barcelona plant, which is led by my old acquaintance, twice-footman Ramon beat. The most beautiful place in the foothills of the Pyrenees, magnificent mining tracks for any ginger taste, golf, tennis, horseback riding ... (by the way, if you buy Nissan SUV after school, then for study and accommodation-mani-beak.) I already anticipated As Ramon and I bite the Khamon from Moscow, the metropolitan brought from Moscow and I will shut my old sin (somehow it was a matter, I moved from the school track to the reserved virgin wing, and the huntsman caught, and then Ramon, they say, dragged them to court). But upon arrival in Barcelona, they seemed to be poured out of cold water - there will be no gigiper school, only asphalt is provided. How will it not?! And where is the new crossover, and even Nissan?
And then they explained to me popularly. It turns out that Qashqai (Kashkai) for gigiparies and even for parquet-juper fun is not intended, for nothing that it has 20 cm clearance, and all-wheel drive is provided. This is a city crossover. That is how they position him. It is even called a city nomad (in Russia it sounds ambiguously-it is associated with the homeless), despite the fact that actually real kashkai, or Kashkaytsy, are by no means wandering around the cities. Kashkai is a tribe wanding along the deserts near the Mountains of Paros in southwestern Iran.

The Japanese very on time began to fuss in this car niche. Because it is still not really flexible, and, now putting a worthy car in it, you can disrupt a good jackpot. The cat has been crying for competitors while still-well, Dodge Caliber, well, VW Crossgolf, well, maybe to some extent Suzuki SX-4 ... The niche is relatively new, and there is every reason to believe that it will develop violently- - Citizens more and more like compact high cars with slightly advanced capabilities (such as all -wheel drive just in case). Not a hatch, but not an SUV. Already far from Mike, but not quite a sweater. Turtleneck, or what? Why not? Remember our city road-water realities, climate and correlate with clearance and all-wheel drive-it is a turtleneck.

WHITE CROW. I don’t know how you are, but I liked Qashqai, first of all, faces with an inaccurate expression. Fresh and still unusual. It stands out of a grayish-one-like herd, and this is already good. If you remember, 10-12 years ago, such a journalistic stamp appeared in the automobile press-a faceless removal (it is also washed mymory). This is about those machines that are difficult or impossible to identify until you look at Schildik. And this is clearly not about Qashqai - here with the exterior personality is all right. True, it can be mistaken for an SUV, but ... But, it seems, the creators achieved this.

This is a car for those who love a high, commanding landing at the wheel. I'm sitting high, I look far away. Like an SUV. No, of course, you can fall apart in the chair quite imposingly, adjustments allow, but still it is more convenient to sit here almost vertically. The Japanese, by the way, have long proved that a normally-soda landing in a torn city ride is much preferable to reclining.

Another hint (but only a hint) for a certain offense is all -wheel drive. This is the Nissan All-Mode 4x4 well-known X-Trail. The Qashqai equipped with it can go in three transmission modes: 2WD (only front wheels are pulled), Auto (when the front slides, the rear are connected) and Lock (the center differential is blocked, and the thrust is distributed forward/backward in the ratio of 57:43). There is an appropriate mode switch - a twist between the front seats. There is a suspicion that 99% of Qashqai users, having played a couple of days with modes, will exhibit Auto and forever forget to think about them. It is right. Let the car thinks. Personally, these toys were unnecessarily for me: asphalt test is not a governing school ...

Full-wheel drive is possible on a 2.0-liter version of Qashqai, and an alternative 1.6-liter will only be front-wheel drive; we are talking about gasoline engines; True, there are two more diesel engines, 1.5 and 2.0 liters, but they are completely not relevant for Russia. Depending on the motor version, the machine can be equipped with 5- and 6-speed mechanics, a 6-speed automatic and CVT variator.

If the absence of diesel engines in the Russian motor gamut is annoying to us, then there will probably be many to tense the absence of a panoramic glass roof in Russia by 1037x880 mm, equipped with an electric drive controlled by an electric drive. Yes, the roof is amazing, but not for our realities: firstly, it will always be sprayed with dirt so that you won’t see the sky, and secondly, the Nissanists (in cuporial conversations) are afraid that huge glass can crack from temperature changes and shaking and shaking . (The last reason - shaking - was alerted. After all, the hardness of the body must be calculated so that it does not play bumps and ensure the safety of the arbitrarily large glass.) Come on, God with her, with the roof. Qashqai has a lot of other pleasant things: ESP, separate climate control, rear view camera, navigation, Bluetooth, automatic turning on headlights and wipers, non-clock access to the salon and starting the motor, cruise control, leather ... Something will go to base, something in the options.

In Barcelona, they announced that in the Russian market 1.6 2WD would cost $ 21 900-23 300; 2.0 2WD-$ 24 400-32 000; 2.0 4WD-$ 26 800-34 300. Is it a lot or a little? It depends on your perception of the car - is it just a high hatch or almost an SUV for you?
