Test drive Mitsubishi Pajero (Montero, Shogun) LWB 2000 - 2003 SUV
Mitsubishi Pajero 3.2 DI-D /11 500 km
We opted for this car due to the curious, from the point of view of the autopilot, the combination is a diesel engine (165 hp) and automatic transmission. Our Pajero has a 5-speed sequential adaptive automatic machine InVecs-II Sports Mode (Intelligent & Innovative Vehicle Electronic Conartol System), the most automatic of all automatic transmission.
Firstly, she independently selects the optimal transmission mode for each specific coating and the moment of turning on. Such selectivity is felt well on the suburban highway - at the time of acceleration on a good asphalt, the transmission is made noticeably longer than on a broken coating.
Secondly, the checkpoint adapts not only to the individual driving manner, but also to the mood of the driver. The programs are again made noticeably longer, if a day or two is riding in an aggressive style along the city or highway in manual mode, actively using low acceleration gear. The automatic transmission is controlled by a special electronic block Fuzzy Logic (a system with fuzzy logic).
The dynamics of Mitsubishi Pajero Di-D allows us not only to calmly move over long distances at a speed of 140--160 km/h, but also not to feel like tractor drivers in the city stream. Several pair starting races from the traffic lights did not bring a convincing victory to the same Pajero with a 3.5 -liter gasoline engine.
+ Pajero perfectly goes to overtaking. To do this, just throw the handle to the position of manual gear shift and push it down to go to one gear below. Acceleration is quite competitive against the background of powerful gasoline machines.
+ On the one hand, the salon is perfectly adapted for the transport of various non-standard cargo-batteries. The record was set during a visit to the IKEA store - we uploaded at the Pajero the situation for the cottage, including two disassembled beds with mattresses, wicker chairs and three (!) Cabinets. Apart from the mountains of bags, the size of the Scythian mound.
- On the other hand, each use of Pajero as a truck ends with a global dry cleaner - the skin and pile are easily dirty and difficult to wash.
+/- The information display works strangely. He shows atmospheric pressure in the HPA units of the HPA - hectopascals. To get the millimeters of the mercury usual for us, you need to multiply the HPA by 0.75. So the Moscow norm is 745 mm Hg. Art. - It looks on the Mitsubishi display as 993 HPA.
The altimeter is clearly prone to exaggeration-on ordinary days, it shows a height above sea level of 200-250 meters. But in those days when the hydrometeorological center promises us a deterioration in the geomagnetic situation and the pressure grows, the altimeter begins to become clever. The record indicator was recorded on the embankment near the Kremlin - 0 meters, as at the entrance to the dead sea in Jordan. For reference: the difference in Moscow heights is 150-250 m.
