Seasonal whims
The harsh winter did not affect the operational qualities of the editorial car, although they heard from other lansovrods that they had to attend warranty stations in those frosty cash problems due to problems with the launch and subsequent refusal of neutralizers. Our car, even after almost a weekly parking at -30, was regularly started on the first attempt. It would seem that the battery is no longer new, and gasoline, as a rule, instead of the 95th-the 92nd (according to my observations, the spark plugs live noticeably longer), but Lancer never failed.
But with the brakes we encouraged! The first signs of warping of the front disks appeared on the 48th thousand. Later, a barely noticeable beating of the steering wheel by 110-120 km/h grew into unpleasant vibrations and even jerks when braking at high speed. I decided to wait for the nearest - 60 thousandth that on which it was still recommended to replace the pads. He reached, although there was enough uncomfortable sensations. After the groove of the discs (this operation is noticeably cheaper than the replacement), everything fell into place - Lancer again began to delight ideal, without vibration with mutual understanding.
Alas, a couple of months later, the steering wheel again began to shake. Here I would turn to the repairmen: after all, a half -year guarantee is given to the work they have carried out. He spun, lazy, did not have time to reach the replacement of the discs with TO-75,000 km at our expense. The master’s proposal about the repeated groove was rejected as unpromising.
More recently, on the 73rd thousand, for the first time it was added to the Lancer engine, its level was very close to the minimum mark. And about a week before the last, then the car Zaharondry, but how! On the right, such a bang was suddenly heard that we immediately rushed to the warranty engineer. Shock absorber? Spring? Support? It turned out that the front suspension spring shifted and its turn began to contact with a cup of shock absorber rack. According to Rolf masters, usually in such a situation only small tapping arises or pulls the car to the side; But there was a real roar. Warranty repairs were combined with planned maintenance. Both racks dismantled, put insulating pipes-layers on the springs and put everything in place. The car immediately remembered youth, becoming quiet and obedient - let's hope for a long time.
At the same time, as part of the warranty program, the upper and lower tanks of the radiator were glued with a special sealing material. The reagents used in winter road services are corroded by plastic - microcracks may appear in the radiator. To prevent corrosion should be new protection.
So, completely unexpectedly, the small TO-75 thousand km turned into a rather laborious repair. The main thing is that Lancer is again full of strength and, despite the mature age, is ready for further tests.
 
Fresh air is harmful
Hand on the heart, writing about machines such as the editorial Corolla is not interesting. The car passed through the fire of Moscow traffic jams, the water of the Ural rivers and the copper pipes of Russian frosts, never rectifying.
Perhaps the only significant event of recent months is TO -70,000, which was on cracking baptismal frosts. It turned out that one detail was an intake manifold! For a hundred, they considered that the case is in the air of the air, and the gasket in it is changing only in the collection with the collector.
The next, equally cold morning, I eagerly jumped into the chilled salon, and the engine set off just like a change in an expensive knot. I did not call the service station: you look, the problem will either disappear, or, conversely, will manifest as it should.
Toyota has to be driven one and a half times more often than Mitsubishi - every 10 thousand km. In addition to scheduled operations, there is still a little work for the servicemen: for some reason, the trunk lock has stopped opening with the key; Sometimes, when touched, small twitching occurs - apparently, it's time to change the candles.
