Despite the fact that I have had rights for a long time, there was no need for a personal car until recently. In the end, my husband has a car, in extreme cases I used a taxi. For frequent trips around the city and to the cottage, I need a rather roomy, comfortable and safe car, which also does not attract excess attention. The fact is that to the parking closest to our house, 10 minutes with a quick step. In my opinion, this is not too convenient. That is why I do not even consider those in demand among hijackers. In addition, the husband (he is well versed in cars) says that the SUVs are unreasonably road and, in addition, are burdensome in maintenance.
Simple hickbacks of golf class do not suit me for two reasons. Firstly, a modest trunk is not enough to travel to a cottage with a full cargo lining. Secondly, I like good visibility from the driver's seat, while driving a low hatchback I feel uncomfortable. As a result, there are single -collapses. Models like Nissan Note or Opel Meriva seem to be too small, and cars like Ford S-Max are, on the contrary, big. But Renault Scenic and Mazda 5 is what is needed, in any case, in terms of size. True, two copies that have fallen in terms of fitting are noticeably different in configuration. So, the 5-seater Frenchman is equipped with a base engine of 1.6 liters and a mechanical gearbox, while the Japanese woman has a more powerful 2-liter engine, an automatic machine and an additional third row of seats. However, it’s even more interesting: it will be easier to understand which car I really need.

It was chosen because: one of the most popular monopists of Europe, from a company that owns the laurels of the creator of the CD-wen as such, simply cannot but arouse interest.
Outwardly, the Frenchman is not amazing. When looking at Scenic, there is no emotional rise in an ordinary machine, that's all. At the same time, Renault seems to be too high, or short -term ... In general, not a fountain. Instead of the key, there is a card with buttons unusual, but, I believe, it’s easy to get used to it. Moreover, a flat card, unlike an ordinary keychain, is easily placed in a wallet. Inside, Scenic, at first glance, also seems the most common. Gray seats, a black front panel ... It’s surprising unless a digital tidy located in the center. I thought that it would not be very convenient to read the information, in fact, it was not necessary to twist your head at all all the testimony are caught by lateral vision. I liked the landing. In Scenic, you sit quite high, so you see what is happening on the road several cars forward. For dense movement, as in Moscow, this is very important. Back the review is worse, but Renault, as it turned out, has a very convenient parking sensors. He not only squeals, but also displays colored graphic tips to the dashboard: Green can be taken further, but red stop, came. I liked the sofa even more. Rather, in fact this is not a sofa at all, but three separate chairs, as if shifted close to each other. It turns out a full -fledged triple row. If you install a children's chair in the central place, then grandparents will be able to sit on the sides to look after the child. Good and trunk is deep and tall. He swallows a baby stroller and a folding arena for one or two, and the place remains in abundance. And many pleasant little things are scattered across the cabin: folding tables, secret sections in the floor, roomy boxing between the seats. In a word, the Frenchman is at the height of domestic conditions.
As for the driving qualities, I, of course, are not very comfortable to communicate with the mechanics. By and large, this is the only claim, especially since Scenic in our market can also be bought with automatic transmission. I personally have enough power of the basic motor, there is nowhere to drive in the city, while Renault turned out to be very quiet and soft. The suspension and tires digest all the irregularities, including the paving stones of the tram tracks, which in Moscow is still a lot.
Summarizing, we can say that, not impressed by his appearance, Scenic recouped at the expense of a convenient, thoughtful salon and very comfortable behavior on the road.

It was chosen because: a stylish, attracting views model of a popular Japanese brand stands out in the stream. But is the five good in the conditions of real operation?
Unlike Renault, Mazda clearly makes a special emphasis on design: the car looks brighter, in each of its dash, the desire to surprise, fall in love with it. However, in my opinion, the Japanese even slightly overdid it. Here, say, the waves on the sides of the body seem to be some kind of far-fetched solution, completely devoid of semantic load. But, which in the top five does not leave indifferent, it is a sliding door with an electric drive. At first they seemed to me children's fun, but the real convenience of such doors can be evaluated only during operation. For example, if you need to put a child in a chair, just press the key fob button and not think about where to put the bag and so on. Licking doors seemed to be invented for young mothers. Very good!
But in the cabin you quickly understand that Mazda in terms of convenience is inferior to Renault. Here, for example, the same sofa of Japanese is more than a double, not as wide and comfortable as in a French car. Of course, I remember that Mazda 5 is seven -seater, but I personally do not really need two additional seats hidden in the trunk. At the same time, the configurations are compiled in such a way that the seven -watering of the machine will still have to be paid. In my opinion, this is not quite honest. The trunk also seemed less convenient. It is deeper than in Scenic, but at the same time it is almost impossible to reach the back of the second row of seats, opening the fifth door. Yes, and landing in Mazda is more passenger, that is, low. And, say, the same parking sensors does not have a visual indication, he only writes and not very loudly when entering the obstacle.
In terms of dynamics and ease of control, 2-liter Mazda with an automatic machine liked more than a French car. Everything is simple here: I pressed the gas and went. At the same time, the Japanese seemed a little closer and noticeably more rigid on the go. On the road you feel literally every little thing. Probably, you can get used to it, but, frankly, such a scrupulousness of the family machine is useless.

My choice
It turns out that even one, at first glance, is not the most fundamental thing can change the idea of \u200b\u200ba car. In general, I liked Scenic a little more. A thoughtful salon, a huge trunk plus high smoothness and a competitive price. And in order to become my ideal car, the Frenchman did not have enough only one shifting rear doors, which in practice turned out to be even more convenient than I could suggest. That is why I make my choice in favor of Mazda-5.

It is impossible to disagree with the fact that the shift doors for the compact wen are a huge plus. However, for this undoubted convenience, the buyer has to pay a very high price. After all, the Japanese woman is delivered to our market only in expensive design with a 2-liter engine and automatic transmission. Hence the basic price, only a little inconsistent to a million. So Scenic seems to be a more profitable purchase. Moreover, as the heroine of our material correctly noted, the French compact van is also good in itself: spacious, thoughtful, safe and comfortable.
