In 2003, the massive aggravation of the friendship of Russians with the Infiniti luxury brand began with this model. Arriving in Russia unofficially, FX became another favorite in a team of sports crossovers who managed to lure the small fraction of fans from the BMW X5, which dominated in the segment. What did the Japanese have a 2009 model year?
The magical point G of the domestic public Infiniti FX of the new generation is likely to feel as lightning speed as the ancestor: the latter stood out brightly against the homogeneous background of other expensive crossovers truly extraordinary appearance. Yes, to recreate the image of an aggressive turtle in a car version, half crawled out of the shell, and inspire everyone that is beautiful, the task is not easy. But the courage of such a non -standard design solution was justified by thousands of copies sold. And hereditary freshness and originality will surely be the key to the success and model of 2009.
Despite the light retouching, the 2009 Infiniti FX has remained one hundred percent recognizable. The crossover sacredly stores the proportions and lines of its predecessor so loved by the public: a long hood, short overhangs, a high belt, a low roof, a massive feed and huge arches above the wheels of the equally impressive size.
At the same time, the car has several inconspicuous eyes, but very positive differences. So, the wheelbase grew by 35 mm due to the shaping of the front wheels displaced to the sake of the nose, the track of which was expanded by 43 mm. The reinforced body structure helped to increase its rigidity 1.6 times, and its frame threw almost 90 kg of weight due to the light aluminum used in the design. From 0.37 to 0.36/0.35 (FX35/50), the aerodynamic resistance coefficient decreased: to adjust the direction of air flows, it was necessary to change the shape of the front bumper and rear lights, as well as the corner of the spoiler on the fifth door.
Infiniti has more vivid primary signs of novelty. The FX sample of 2009 is easy to recognize by evil front optics, a black grille with wavy longitudinal stripes and diffusers in the front wings. Moreover, the latter were not a decoration, but a functional element of design. These gills take the air from the motor compartment and the side parts of the car, ensuring a decrease in the lifting force of the body of the body by 5% and improving stability when moving at high speed.
If the external changes in Infiniti FX can be calmly described using numbers, then when meeting with the inner world of the crossover, it is difficult to do without epithets. The noble interior of the model in the pastel-beige version of the performance looks defiantly aristocratic. The incomparable decoration materials shine in the literal and figurative sense, the management pleases with logical ergonomicity and intuitive simplicity, the abundance of diverse technologies delights the breadth of taste. The crossover is supplied in two versions FX35 and FX50. The first is equipped with a modified 3.5-liter V-shaped six (307 hp and 355 nm), which provides the machine with the same acceleration as the V8 to the previous FX45. By almost without a hitch, reacting to the gas pedal, the car eludes a hundred after only 6.9 s, and a good supply of traction is felt under the pedal at any speed. Last but not least, the merit in this is a new adaptive 7 -speed automatic with a smooth gear system and a sports regime. Both motors are aggregated by such a transmission. For the second modification, a V8 engine of 5.0 liters is provided, developing a power of 400 liters. with. And the moment of 500 nm. With such Dani, the FX accelerates to a hundred per fleeting 5.8 s!
With a tangible difference in the dynamics of modification, behavior on the road is related. A car without unnecessary winding with a steering wheel and rolls enters the turns, when slipping or driving, connecting the front wheels. Unless the FX50 with steering rear wheels in turns and during maneuvering allows the driver a little more. More speed, more excitement, more drive.
