Recently, updated Chrysler models have been distinguished by radical external changes. So it happened with the 2007 SEBRING year, which is not at all like the predecessor. But how changed the internal content?
 
The first visual contact with Chrysler Sebring occurred through the bus window along the way to the place of test drive. It immediately became clear that we are dealing with a completely new car.
 
The face of the debutant, whose release was established in the state of Michigan, causes conflicting feelings. Someone likes the car. Someone cannot hide disappointment. But they do not argue about tastes, so let's move on to the facts. Sebring as a representative of the D-class has an amescent sizes in American. Direct lines and sharp faces give the silhouette swiftness. Taking a closer look, you can see that in the form of a hood there are similar features with sports Chrysler Crossfire. And the headlights are similar. The false radiator grille is made in a corporate identity and has a trapezoidal shape, which is crowned by the winged emblem of the Chrysler brand. In huge arches, the wheels of the 18th radius are simply lost. From the general angular design, only the rear lights of the oval shape are knocked out.

Salon to match the appearance. Here everything is permeated with the spirit of large American cars. Plastic is pleasant to the touch, but in fact it turns out to be too hard. They do not bring a drop of elegance into the overall interior, and the quality of execution upsets.
 
The dashboard consists of three wells. A successful font and proprietary light green illumination contributing to good readability at any time of the day. The center is located in the center of the on -board computer, which displays information about fuel, mileage, as well as tire pressure.
 
The central tunnel is not overloaded with buttons. Management is carried out at an intuitive level and does not require addiction. This is an important factor, taking into account slippery leather upholstery.
 
The rear passengers, as expected in D-class cars, there are enough space for a comfortable pastime in a long road. A wide armrest is provided for them. In the near future, a monitor will appear for viewing DVD, which will be installed between the front seats.
 
The luggage compartment delights the dimensions. But the opening should be recognized as narrow. For overalls, the possibility of full or partial (60/40) folding of the rear seats is provided.
 
The engine is carried out without any newfangled systems, a regular key. Not only the sounds of working units penetrate the salon, but also the noise of air turbulence caused by imperfect aerodynamics.
 
In Russia, cars with two gasoline engines with a volume of 2.4 liters (170 hp) and 2.7 liters (188 hp) will be sold. Despite the impressive litr, you can’t call them frisky. Partly in this is the obsolete four -speed automatic. He is clearly delayed with gear shifts. Even the presence of manual mode does not allow to correct the situation. There is no difference, so it is better to calmly roll in automatic mode, adjusting the acceleration with a gas pedal. With a 2.4 -liter engine, acceleration to 100 km/h takes 11.3 s. At the same time, the maximum speed is 200 km/h. With such indicators, Sebring is more suitable for traveling through autobahns. It's a shame, because the elastic suspension quite allows an active ride. The cranes of the body almost do not arise. Overcoming bumps is accompanied by a slight noise effect. However, excessive shaking does not annoy the driver and passengers.
 
Alas, besides cardinal changes in the appearance, Sebring has not changed much. In fact, he remained the same American ship, which, first of all, is good for its size. In competition with European machines, this will have a hard time.
 
Change in design
 
The Chrysler Airflite concept, shown in Geneva four years ago, was a continuation of the Crossfire coupe. It is designed on an experimental LX platform with rear -wheel drive. Its length is 4840 mm, and the wheelbase is a little, 2950 mm. It has no class affiliation, as it combined both the coupe and the sedan. The trump card of the American debutant can be considered a new, albeit very controversial, design. Other obvious advantages, compared to rivals, are not visible. Motors and automatic transmission are morally outdated, and four configurations do not shine with diversity.
