In the 50s, these large cars compared with battleships, good times were good with spacecraft, and the story of the brand is glorious. And the most remarkable is that this story continues, and, as always, Cadillac cars seem to be directed into the future.

In GM, five years ago they managed to masterfully emphasize: with the past, albeit colorful, imposing, but too soft and clumsy is over forever. The new Cadillac is precisely the face of the future. Although it makes sense? Since then, GM has taken another step forward and Cadillac has become finally futuristic. Maybe not to my taste, but the fact that the car cannot but attract attention is a fact is convinced of traffic jams.
Something similar could be born in the world of computer games. Moreover, the Cadillac CTS has excellent and most importantly separate climate control with a separate adjustment unit for the rear passengers.
The latter, by the way, can count on the convenience and sufficient supply of space for the legs, shoulders and heads. But still, CTS is more focused on the one who drives the car. The central console with a built -in liquid crystal screen, I recall, is deployed to the driver, so watching films is impossible even for the front passenger. It is strange to the one who is driving is actually not up to entertainment. Moreover, during movement, the image is blocked by a security system only sound. So do not calculate that it will be possible to pass the time in traffic blocking blockbusters.
But you can pay tribute to the excellent star of the Bose musical system with a six disc CD changer. You can control it with the help of buttons on the steering wheel, where the Krue-control keys are also located.
At hand, the gear lever of 5-speed automatic transmission with perfectly selected gear numbers and the function of gear holding up to the fourth. The chair is regulated using electric drives in eight planes. Plus, just in case, still less than seven seconds up to hundreds of six airbags.

Of course, this is not a sports car, and you will not be flattened on the back of the seat. But still, a feeling of rapid acceleration is present. Probably, the way it is: the speedometer arrow briskly crawls on the scale, getting to the mark of 200. It is too much for the city. Yes, and for the Zagorod too. And how are the brakes? The brakes are magnificent. So much so that if not for the belt, he would kiss the steering wheel on the horn.
And already on the highway, I pressed the gas pedal on the floor until it stops. It seems that he took himself by the shoulders and pressed it into the back. The initial acceleration of CTS in small gears is so impressive that you come to yourself only by finding that the speedometer arrow has long been exceeded 130 km/h. The machine is gently, without jerking, it throws the transmission, the car accelerates so easily that it seems that other cars are just standing nearby.
By the way, with emergency braking, the Panic Brake Assist system will enter the jelly, which, together with the connected Stabilitrak (traffic stabilization system), holds Cadillac CTS on the trajectory. The work of 14-inch disc brakes is also perfectly felt at low speeds: smooth pressure on the pedal gives out a fully predicted slowdown, but if you press a little stronger, the car freezes like a dug.
Options and functions
Two gasoline engines are installed on Cadillac CTS. The initial engine V6 with a volume of 2.8 liters develops 211 hp. The riding of the model range is an engine with direct fuel injection and the gas distribution phase regulation mechanism (VVT) with a volume of 3.6 liters and a power of 306 hp. Both motors can be aggregated with a 6-speed manual gearbox or with an automatic transmission. A modification with a full-wheel drive system that increases the traction-dynamic characteristics and car safety is also available.
