Since its founding in the mid-80s as an autonomous unit of the General Motors corporation, the Saturn brand has significantly added to popularity. The first shift in generations of the Saturn SC (Saturn SC) compartment occurred in 1997, while sedanov and station wagons in 1996. The coupe was built on the sedan platform, and the new profile gave a family resemblance to other representatives of the brand. Unlike the previous model, SC1 and SC2 have common body panels, and the side are made of corporate polymer material resisting the appearance of dents. Starting from November 1998, all Saturn coupe is equipped with a unique part for the compartment - the third door.
