Together with Fiat Marengo, in May 1990, a version with a universal body was released, called Tempra SW (Weekend) equipped with a 1.8 liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 109 hp (and since 1992 105 hp with fuel injector and catalyst).

Later, Fiat Tempra SW was equipped with a constant full-wheel drive. In addition, the model received ventilated brake discs from the front, solid discs behind and the ABS system. In 1992, the diesel version of the Fiat Tempra wagon was published with a two-liter 90-strong turbodiesel.

In August 1993, the exterior of the car has undergone changes. Fiat Tempra received a new radiator grille. Passive security has been improved. A year later, the car was equipped with a gasoline engine with a volume of 1.6 liters with a capacity of 90 hp. The airbag was installed as an improvement in the equipment of the cabin from the driver.

In Europe, the release of the model was discontinued in 1995, giving way to the BRAVA model.

It should be noted that the car was quite well equipped with inside: central locking, power windows, electric windows, hatches, windshield heating. The interior of the car's salon is quite practical - the finish is medium, without special excesses, but everything is necessary at hand. The dashboard is sufficiently functional, the instrument readings are well read, however the location of the radio, the layout of the switches and keys on the central console was not very convenient. The suspension stiffness affects the comfort and level of sound insulation of the cabin - when driving, especially on an uneven road, strong shocks, tangible noise and vibration are observed.

In 1998, Fiat Tempra's production in Brazil was also completed.
