Volvo Xs90 - car for prudent

Volvo XS90 car for prudent. And with a diesel engine for doubly prudent. There are many reasons to buy a Volvo XC90 with a 2.4 -liter diesel engine. Large, seven -seater, but not huge.

Solid, but not boring, looks good both in the forest and in the city. Dynamic, but not gluttonous. When calmly driving along the highway, it consumes a maximum of 1012 liters of diesel fuel, in the city 1516 liters. Moderately passed, but not to the detriment of road properties, a speed of 180 km/h is almost not noticeable. Is there too many compliments?

The shepherd had a dog
You sit in the Volvo XC90 with clear confidence that it is done specifically for the American market. This is evident by decoration. Not quite hard plastic, but looks like the simplest, cowboy. And, of course, the cup holders in the trunk, outside the third row of seats. For dogs! The Yankees-gams, you see, cannot without four-legged ones.

As soon as you enter the first turn that has come across, the arrogant, which made half of the world's auto industry in front of them, the United States of America again remind of their neglect of the European canons of controllability. Frued tamers of Mustangs cannot live without swing, they sleep so nicer. People who are accustomed to travel, and not doze, will be unusual. But tolerant.

Everyone who was ready to endure has already bought Volvo XC90. Fans of Herra Diesel remained. Today, many are thinking: either $ 400 for gasoline per month and a motor 3.2 liter, or $ 250 for diesel fuel and a 2.4 -liter engine. On saved products, you can put pre -heating and buy a lot of additives for diesel fuel, not to mention a more common change of oil in diesel engines.

You can’t turn it off
We were interested in a 2.4-liter diesel engine not so much because of savings as because of their off-road qualities. I especially wanted to know how it acts in tandem with the Haldex clutch and electronic collars. The Haldex coupling, as always, connected instantly, without delay. Electronics worked surprisingly correctly. I even doubted its presence. Only in the midst of a sandy race, when the fully turned wheels were combined with the ESP pedal drowned into the floor, it started up, strangled the engine and struggled with brake blocks. It was impossible to disconnect it, but it did not really interfere.

Diesel confidently dragged the heavy XC90. Powerful and elegant. But the off -road is insidious. We enjoyed the habits of the diesel engine exactly until we drove into the lowland, where a fatty, orgated pie rested under a thin layer of sand. They did not save us and 218 mm of the glee. The cake pulled both Volvo and a walking nearby to secure Land Rover Defender. Late in the evening, we were pulled by a Wazik winch. Def was saved closer to morning.

Without losing prudence
Since the test was started because of the new diesel engine, in conclusion again about it. Of course, after 140 km/h, it is already boring to put pressure on the pedal, but if no one breathes in the back, you can calmly get to 180. Almost all the time of communication with a new diesel engine does not leave that you are dealing with something real: sound, sound Power, acceleration. Understanded by the lower qualities of it. Since the anti-operating electronics practically did not manifest itself, the Volvo rode on the sand only at the expense of the moment, which is no less than 400 nm, and, of course, the geometry helped, after all, the clearance is quite serious. For a business car is not bad. If you keep prudence.
