It became better, of course, and the dynamics, whatever, remained, but you still can’t call it smooth.
If you go fast, a feeling of anxiety does not disappear, it seems that you will not meet in braking. Volvo pecks significantly if you carefully use the pedal, but the effectiveness of slowing down from this does not get worse. The same feeling of uncertainty occurs with sharp maneuvers at high speed. The accuracy of the reaction during rebuilding here is very mediocre. Well, a heavy car misses a slightly past turn so sorry to him! Could you forgive it, but then to say about competitors whose pendants were more precisely configured? Marking out of politeness? .. The stiffness of the S80 suspension can be adjusted, but in a strict position the machine collects all the bumps, and in a comfortable one scribbles and falls on the outer front angle. It seems to be so in theory, but, again, the Swedish business class sedan has much more noticeable. Why is that?
The Volvo salon is quite comfortable. The flying console is especially pleasing instead of a tightly attached beard. Climate and music management is concise and understandable not only to fans of the Swedish brand. The overview is not bad. But specific claims to landing: the front seats pillows are short and have very weakly expressed side support. But the skin is good and thick! Well, so to whom everyone has their own priorities. The automatic transmission selector is also inconvenient. To move it, you need to burn on the key located on the front plane of the knob. To do this is inconvenient, because the axis of the keys is located at the top, and it is necessary to press on the lower part. Try to imagine or at least take a word. But S80 understands Russian! More precisely, communicates with us through the display. Competitors do not have this yet. Why?
If the above problems still relate to driving behind the wheel, then in the second row they remain the problems of the hired driver, and the comfort, spaciousness and solidity of the brand come to the fore.

The topic of the minimum differences in the design of Volvo models is nevertheless obvious. Many of this philosophy of design came to their liking. What is not BMW? To everyone else! This is Volvo with everything that has become familiar and inseparable from the design of the Swedish car.
