The door locks clicked softly, and as if an invisible barrier separated us from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Silence, cozy twilight, created by tinting glasses. For everyone else who remained behind this barrier, we have become far and inaccessible.
But silence and peace are deceiving. Turning the ignition key - and the Volvo S60AWD salon is filled with a juicy, bass rocker of the liberated graduation system, leaving no doubt about the nature of this car. And although it has to spend a whole working day in it, the right leg is already fidgeting on the accelerator pedals: it is time to let the whole herd of horses, peacefully kneading under the hood.
The ideology of this creation, in general, is not new. In Germany, a tuning set of body plumage was purchased, in Sweden - the exhaust system, but the rest ... Firm Obukhov is famous for bold solutions. This time, a low-pressure turbine installed on a 2.4-liter engine of the sixty, gave way to more productive from the version R. Naturally, this required other brains, nozzles and a number of less noticeable changes. The first trial result was stunning not only for developers, but also for ... engine. It was necessary to reduce the degree of forcing, pacifying the destructively violent body of the motor.
 
Only partially was adopted by the body body kit. Having tried it entirely, they abandoned some details: it painfully looked like a BMW. Well, and carried away by the integrity of the exterior, Obukhovites decided to withstand the style: they darkened glass, rear lights, closed the headlights with dark shields. It is no wonder that the owner immediately christened the car with a black devil. Yes, yes, do not be surprised: it goes to this Volvo fragile creature, and quite spectacular.
And here we are, under the respectful views of those around us, get out to the scope of the Dmitrovsky highway. If you try to explain what the process of driving on this car is made of, then, perhaps, a sound will be in a leading position. Its juicy harmonics are constantly present in the cabin of the car, tracking the tonality and timbre of the slightest movement of the gas pedal. Sometimes the sobbing of the turbocharged valve is added to this - the family line of all engineering Volvo. The sound of the ensemble only violates the machine gun, by its understanding (and not always finally) choosing gear.
 
The capabilities of the motor are somewhat more modest - at least they are inferior to acoustic. The character of this Volvo has very little sports sharpness, and even that is smoothed out by automatic transmission. But there is a powerful acceleration at medium speeds: it, like an elastic rubber tourniquet, accelerates and accelerates the car. In this cat's softness lies their advantages. The car of an extraordinary temperament does not tire with the excessive sharpness of the responses - it remains comfortable for the driver and passengers. Looking at the results of measurements, you will not find anything supernatural - the numbers are more ordinary. But look at the fact that the column is elasticity: they are impressive. And this, believe me, is important. After all, it is these seconds that very often affect your sensations inside the car. This is how the character turned out.
This time Obukhovtsy did not experiment with other characteristics, reasoning that the Volvo S60AWD was already well balanced in terms of comfort, controllability and other qualities. Therefore, having acquired a different look and changed a little internally, by behavior on the road it remained almost standard. It is convenient for someone - most spare parts are available on any Volvo service. From the point of view of those who love the hotter, such an approach is probably not entirely logical. After all, having such an expressive tool in my hands, sometimes I want to feel like a rider. Alas, while in quick turns, the black devil is reliable, but far from sports perfection. I think he still has everything ahead. First of all, it depends on the demand for such products. Well, the current Volvo S60roro - what does the rating of Obukhov mean - the creation is more peaceful than aggressive.
