At first glance, the salon retained its former appearance. Of the visible changes, a new three-spoke steering wheel, dashboard, climate control unit and devices lighting. The remaining changes are high-quality: more soft panels and high-quality materials appeared. On the rear couch, it is still spacious, however, as before, the three central tunnel interferes with the three of us. But the sofa is regulated longitudinally, the back consists of three parts, the middle of which can be used as an armrest, and as an option in the back of the front seats you can order folding tables.
Together with restyling, a new instrument panel, climate control block, and updated versions of navigation systems appeared in the VW Tiguan salon. DSG Voltsvagenovites were afraid to install. Unlike Europe, where the DSG robotic transmission runs a score, our Tiguans are still equipped with an ordinary hydromechanical automaton, which, however, works quite quickly and smoothly.
The volume of the trunk by standards of the class is medium 470 liters. If you fold the rear row, then the space will increase to 1510 liters, and the front passenger seat can also be folded for the transportation of long -termers.
The VW Tiguan salon is still a reference ergonomics and a convenient passenger. Along with the update, the quality of materials improved. The new Tiguan now is almost premium.
Much more technical changes have occurred, but not all new products are available in Russia. For example, in Europe, in the arsenal of the updated VW Tiguan there are a lot of advanced electronic assistants, including the driver's fatigue recognition system, an automatic parking worker, adaptive headlights Dynamic Light Assist, a system for maintaining a line of movement of Lane Assist, recognition of road signs and a rear view camera. For the Russian market, these bells and whistles are still alien. Only updated navigation systems were prepared for us.

The second engine for Trend & Fun is still 1.4 TSI with a double boost of 150 hp.

For Tiguan Sport & Style, the 2.0 TSI gasoline engine is also available in a more powerful variation that issues 200 hp.
But if we are already accustomed to the fear of foreign car manufacturers to bring diesel cars to Russia, then the absence of DSG boxes on Russian Tiguans disappointed. Instead of them, updated crossovers will be equipped with an old 6-speed automatic, and cars with DSG are planned to be brought later, but the exact dates are not yet called.
For the test we got a 140-horsepower diesel VW Tiguan Track & Field with automatic transmission. The main feature of the off -road version of the Offroad package, which includes special bumpers (entry and exit angles are increased from 18 to 28 degrees), the descent assistant from the slope, the start of the start on the rise, as well as a separate key that activates the inclusion of a special gas and system pedal and system. ABS, off -road movement.
A 2.0 -liter diesel engine with a capacity of 140 hp. It differs in a good traction at low and medium speeds, but for lovers of dynamic accelerations, the 2.0 TSI gasoline turbo engine, available in two modifications, is better than 170 and 200 hp.
In addition to cosmetic changes, the VW Tiguan salon is still distinguished by excellent ergonomics, almost a passenger planting and a good seat profile. But there are still flaws: passenger mirrors have a large dead zone. The monitoring system of blind areas would definitely not hurt here.
A 140-horsepower diesel is lucky without excitement, but you can’t call it sluggish. A vigorous response to press gas and modest fuel consumption make it an excellent choice for the city. However, high -speed overtaking on the highway is not his horse. In full gas, there is not enough dynamics, and after 120 km/h, acceleration begins to fade. To give the heat you have to turn on the sport-mode of the machine, but in the radically it does not change the situation. But with its direct responsibilities, the diesel cope at one hundred percent, and 320 Nm of torque, available from 1750-2500 rpm, will make it with enviable agility at medium speeds and the necessary supply of traction on off-road. Those who primarily appreciate the dynamics better choose 170- or 200-horsepower gasoline versions.
Volkswagen Tiguan is a great combination of good handling, comfort and smoothness.
Equipped with 16-inch wheels VW Tiguan has good smoothness. The suspension copes great with pits, irregularities and lying policemen. The steering wheel, no doubt, is the best in the class. At any speed, the steering wheel has accurate and quick reactions, verified effort and excellent informativeness. Having preserved the sled qualities of the prerestyled version, the updated VW Tiguan is still a good balance between controllability and comfort.
The crossover stands well at the straight line up to maximum speeds, is indifferent to the collapse on the asphalt, while in the cabin there is silence and comfort. The turns are accompanied by a small roll, but the stability supply is preserved, and Volkswagen definitely follows a given trajectory, demonstrating the predicted reactions.
The volume of the trunk is 470 liters. The back of the rear seat, consisting of three parts, folds, forming a completely even floor.
The brakes also did not fail. The force on the pedals is selected what is needed, the slowdown is convenient, and there are no complaints about the effectiveness.
Russian prices for updated VW Tiguan start from a mark of 896,000 rubles for the basic Trend & Fun package with a 1.4-liter engine and manual transmission. SUV TRACK & FELD will cost at least 1,136,000 rubles for a gasoline version of 2.0 TSI 170 hp. and 1 177 000 for a 140-horsepower diesel. The city VW Tiguan Sport & Style cannot be cheaper than 1,233,000 rubles, and the new equipment of Track & Style is the most expensive from 1,304,000 rubles.
