Test drive Volkswagen Passat B6 2005 - 2010 sedan

If you have something to carry

In mid -November last year, the premiere of the new generation Passat Variant station wagon took place in Russia after which the car sales began. This is a great reason to get acquainted with the new version of a well -known car.

And we went to the photoest to evaluate the practical capabilities of the model.

Both in front and behind, the station wagon accurately repeats the style of the four -door Passat. In front of them can be completely confused. But it should be noted right away that the design of the rear is more dynamic than that of the previous generation. The practical and spacious station wagon has become more than its predecessor. More precisely, it has become 92 mm longer, wider by 74 and higher by 20 mm. Hence the growth in the luggage compartment: 603 liters without prejudice to the rear passengers, and with folded rear seats, the volume is 1731 liters against 1600 in Passat Variant B5.

Under the hood of Passat Variant may be one of four gasoline engines, of which only one 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 106 hp. Three others 2.0FSI, 2.0TFSI and 3.2 V6 with a capacity of 150, 200 and 250 hp, respectively. Installed for the first time. Two diesel engines act as an alternative: 1.9 and 2.0 liters with a capacity of 105 and 140 hp. Passat Variant will cost customers about $ 1,500 more than a sedan, or rather 26 thousand dollars.

The car can be purchased in three performance, the most expensive of which will cost from 33 thousand. The normal price for the country version is essentially a representative model.

The car for shooting is represented by the company Autocenter Pulkovo - the official VW dealer
