In the end of January 2005, Volkswagen will appear on the European market. It is enough to cast a single look at the car to understand where the ears grow up in the style of the fifth golf, on the platform of which it was built. The newly made CD Golf Plus is 95 mm higher than golf simple and does not reach even more family seven-seater Touran only 54 mm. Compared to the donor, the novelty has significantly changed the front line: here almost all the details are their original head optics, bumper, wings and so on. Also, the back door and lanterns are designed otherwise, in which, instead of incandescent lamps, high-speed LEDs are used (a fairly rare dash for golf class). Soon, the list of options will be replenished with active bixenon headlights that can look into a turn.
 
However, the main plus of the new golf is its capacity: the luggage volume is able to increase from 395 liters to 1450 liters with folded rear seats (for comparison in a regular hatchback of 350 and 1305 liters, respectively). By the way, the kinematics of 60/40 seats folding in a proportion is such that they do not just fall, but also move down, as a result of which the gender of the trunk becomes almost even. The middle armchair in the rear row can easily turn into either a table with cup holders, or a hefty armrest, or (if there is an additional module) with a multifunctional box.

 

Compared to just golf, the landing on Golf Plus has become much higher. However, thanks to a higher ceiling, even tall passengers should not experience inconvenience. In connection with the redevelopment of the salon of the new car, a new torpedo was required, coupled with the central console. So. What other pluses have plus? Here, for example, is a multifunctional front armrest in which a cooled box (option) can be placed. Also, as an option for the machine, a CD changer or DVD player is offered, as well as an electro-stop for human 230 volts.
 
At first, Volkswagen will offer four engines for Golf Plus: two gasoline 1.4 liters (75 hp) and a direct 1.6 FSI (115 hp), as well as two turbodiesels of almost the same working volume of 1.9 and 2.0 liters, but very different By their characteristics: 105 and 140 hp respectively. By mid-2005, the gamut of engines will be replenished with gasoline power units 1.6 liters (102 hp) and two-liter FSI (150 hp), as well as a 90-horsepower turbodiesel. The Golf Plus transmission also implies diversity: a five- and six-speed mechanics, a six-speed automatic and an advanced robotic box about two DSG clutches are offered.
 
The options for configuration are the same as on Golf V from the basic Trendline to the top Comfortline and the disputed Sportline. Already in standard equipment, the car is equipped with front and side airbags, ESP, ABS systems, as well as the ASR anti -wings system. The minimum cost of a car in Europe is 16,740 euros, and in general, Plus is more expensive than the Golf hatchback by an average of 700 euros. The start of sales in Russia is spring this year.
