Movement in the morning city with stops at traffic lights allows you to fully assess the edification of a bituural two-liter 163-horsepower diesel. I do not feel any failures or a lack of traction. Diesel quickly accelerates a two -ton car along the deserted city streets. I quietly go beyond the borders of Chelyabinsk, and now the suburbs stretch in the light of headlights. The drive car is accelerated, and the speed of the speed indicator easily falls on the mark of 140 km/h. The car behaves perfectly on the road, in abundance of pits, then ruts, then waves. It's nice that the rear spring suspension does not affect the movement of the truck. Our total Moscow weight barely exceeds a quarter of a ton, but Amarok confidently draws the trajectory of movement, never once rearranging the back of the road irregularities. The first impression of the car I do not feel at all that we are going in a pickup. Judging by the behavior of the driver and the reactions of the machine to its actions, we move in space in a large comfortable passenger car with excellent handling and magnificent suspension.

The on -board computer shows the consumption of diesel fuel a little more than 10 liters per 100 kilometers. Not bad! The merit of a six -speed hand gearbox is great in this. When moving in a straight line at constant speed, the sixth gear gives tangible saving of fuel.

A throw from Chelyabinsk to one of the hunting farms of a neighboring Kurgan region takes about three hours. We move from asphalt to a primer rolled to concrete hardness. A couple of kilometers along the edge of the field to a cozy hunting borrowed hidden in a birch knuck. Breakfast, safety instruction, and hunting. Around the field, interspersed with stars of birch forest. The soil is continuous black soil. The thought sneekens that in the rain on this ground we will roll so much that only hold on, but, thank God, the sun is dry and even breaking through.

The first day of hunting is dedicated to moose, so we climb the border of a huge forest. We continue to move on pickups, the owner of the economy and huntsmen on UAZs. Our group looks from the side, let's say it is strange. The pace of movement and the condition of the roads along which we have to drive obviously do not fit with the appearance of German cars, but the leading crew by the walkie -talkie asks for no way to lag. We get out of the schedule a bit, and we have to play out the time due to speed. The hunting manager commands, and pickups with hunters fall aside, UAZs with the beaters continue to move. Short briefing in the walkie -talkie, and we are straight to the numbers from cars. Our riding is held in the style of light off-Road, and cars behave perfectly. We easily crawl through the pits and buoyes on the rear drive, without even thinking about the need to connect the front. Having landed me on the room, my colleagues drive about 200 meters and, having hidden the car in a rifle, they also get to the number. According to the radio, they give the command to the beginning of the corral, everyone freezes in anticipation of the release of the beast.

The place for the corral is chosen excellent. We stand along the clearing. Before us are young planting birch trees with splapses of aspen and pines, the tops of which are almost all trimmed with moose. Twenty minutes later, the corral ends. Cars are approaching, one of the shooters says that three moosehades with two calves left the corral and safely moved to the neighboring quarter of the forest. Fast landing. On the move, we are instructed about the next corral, and after 15 minutes we again arrange the numbers. Again, there are only females in the pen, and the old bull leaves through the beaters. Clever! Therefore, it grew large.

Another general fee, a quick move to another place and a new corral. At this pace, we continue to hunt for up to five hours, but luck is clearly on the side of the beast. Losikhi, roe deer, but no shatta come to us. The day ends with a clock shooting of pickupa in the open -air. The photographer, seeing a picturesque sandy hill overgrown with pine forest, recalls that he came here not to hunt, but to remove cars.

The lifting and descents from the mountain in a low gear mode turn out to be very interesting! The driver simply turns on the first gear, removes the leg from the pedals, and the automation itself drags the pickup on a 30-degree rise. The next day, we successfully use this technique, overcoming off -road, ditches and other obstacles.

It rains at night, which promises to travel on slippery roads an additional fan. By morning, all the lancishes turn into shiny, oily slippery film of the road.

The second day is dedicated to Kosulia hunting. We have to hunt on the outskirts of fields and forest edges. All day we drive the pens in the rain, we are clearly accompanied by luck, and by the end of the day in our account
five trophies. Visit and slippery soil on this day makes its adjustments to the management of machines. Movement on the rear drive is excessive adrenaline, so I switch to all -wheel drive, sometimes even trying the movement mode in reduced gear. The highway rubber of our Volkswagen AMAROK turned into a slippery wash in the morning, but the car perfectly feels the slightest movement of the steering wheel, and the attempt to go into the skid is straightened by the discharge of gas with the ruff of the steering wheel. In such conditions, it is a sin not to manifest the German crook at the wheel of a German. Extreme on fragmented chernozem does not bring surprises. On all our unreasonable acts driving, sharp maneuvers, accelerations, braking on the floor, permutation, pendulum and other madness the car meets clear reactions of a car.

We plan a return to Chelyabinsk the same evening. In the rain and dark, three wolves go back. Water is everywhere: it pours on top, splashes under the wheels in giant puddles, into which I do not want to fly at a speed of a hundred. But here, ABS, and the anti -industrial system, and the system of maintaining exchange rate stability show themselves perfectly.

However, 50 kilometers to the target, rain is replaced by snow, and by the time of entry into the city, at least 10 centimeters of snow on the road. Movement around the city under such conditions is akin to skating. Here and there, unlucky car enthusiasts are analyzed there. Well, the novelty from Volkswagen, even unexpected snow could not be worthy of resistance. This is exactly the case when one car copes perfectly with the function of delivery of people to impassability, and with off -road itself.

In conclusion, I want to say that the pickupian is the best suited to the philosophy of the life of an active city person. Are you going hunting or fishing, on vacation at sea or with friends to the mountains, you are ready for any challenge when you control the Amarok pickup. It is also important that its owner saves several hundred thousand rubles compared to the owner of a full -sized jeep. These machines have a great future in our country, and Volkswagen Amarok will no doubt have a serious competition for recognized hits from Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Ford. Unfortunately, the customs policy of the state does not allow the pickups to make a truly folk car: well, what a villain can buy such a miracle for a million or more rubles! But the main reserve of the pickup market with us, as in the USA, lies outside of large cities. I would like to believe that someday we will all live better and a pickup with the proud name Amarok will become a universal favorite. After all, this is really Das Auto.
