A serial sports model appeared in the AvtoVAZ product palette. Andrei Sidorov met the features of the novelty.
The theme of motorsport is very popular among Russian car owners. Many personally equip their car with sports or pseudo -sports elements, often not understanding how they affect its running qualities. The factory tuning is good because it is made by a company that is closely in contact with the car manufacturer. Of course, the individuality of improvements here is very limited, but everything is done at a high professional level and relatively inexpensive small -scale production is cheaper than piece.
Until recently, AvtoVAZ had a market for this sector with coolness. The only court company Superwo collects front-wheel drive frets with more powerful 1.8-liter engines, and the experimental industrial production of AvtoVAZ is a three-door version of Lada-112.
Now the production of an inexpensive sports version of the hatchback Lada-Kalina Sport has begun in the OPP. Equipment is close to the suite of suite: alloy wheels, fog lights, spools on the sidewalls, electric mirrors and heating, door -windows and a glass in the upholstery of the ceiling.
Air conditioning is offered as an option. There are two modifications with 1.4 and 1.6 liters engines.
Candidate for the master
The cheapest version with the 11194-33 index is equipped with serial units: a sixteen-plate of 1.4 liters and a gearbox, therefore the sled qualities of this machine at the level of the civil counterpart. The main differences in appearance and some sports elements in the cabin.
Original front and rear bumpers and fairings of thresholds give the machine a fighting appearance. Its alloy wheels, a spoiler in the upper part of the door, and an indispensable attribute, a chrome nozzle on the final pipe, complement it. Fortunately, the muffler tuning is not provided, because this car will not grow loudly.
The sports of the passenger compartment is emphasized by a solid dark gray decoration. The seats are made on the basis of serial but with a sports slope. The frame is the same, and the stuffing, the color and the cut are original. On pedals, metal linings with rubber inserts so that the shoes do not slip.
Alas, Kalina-Sport is deprived of a pillow in a sports steering wheel for her simply there is no room. But in the near future they promise a steering mechanism with a short rail. The Mando Korean Electric Power Subsolete as the most effective: a promising short steering wheel has increased efforts. A little later, the Kaluga version will appear, also configured for a short rail.
Little was changed in the suspension: so that the car is more clearly in a straight line and is a little stricter in control, an increase in the caster. For this, the front stretch brackets were finalized and the original upper suspension supports were installed.

The hotter version 11196-33, with a 1.6 liter engine. The modern priorovsky sixteen-plastic with a lightweight connecting rod-piston group is combined with the twelfth gearbox (with an enhanced secondary shaft). The new shaft is made at the same time with the leading gear of the main program (in the tenth box this gear is attacked). The main pair with a gear ratio is 3.9.
The front brakes are disk, ventilated, increased dimension. Almetyevsk, caliper brackets are finalized from serial. The rear brakes are also more effective (disk from the VAZ-2108, with a TVR caliper). Accordingly, the parking brake drive has been changed. But because of the disk mechanisms on the rear axle, I had to abandon the ABS to adapt the native to four discs was too expensive.
The suspension of this modification is more stiff and a couple of centimeters, with a corresponding decrease in road clearance. All shock absorbers are gas -filled, the production of SAAZ. Tires 195/50R15 will only be on alloy wheels.
The total volume of Lada Kalina Sports for the near future is 2.5 thousand cars per month. The share of a more modest version (11194) will be about 70%in them. The 1.4 sport version can be bought in July, and the sport is 1.6 a little later.
Selling them will become ordinary through VAZ dealers. The conditions and terms of service, the guarantee is the same as the other way. Sports of 1.4,300 thousand rubles, sport 1.6 350. But at first, apparently, they will more expensive, because dealers will try to withdraw the maximum profit from the first pancakes.
Kalina in sports equipment will give its owner a fashionable image.
