So, the car will be equipped with a different gearbox, a hard suspension, rear disc brakes and a 16-valve engine with a 1.6 liter motor, which is now placed on Priora. This power unit formally produces 98 hp, but at AvtoVAZ they do not hide that 98 horses are indicated only so that car owners pay less taxes. But in reality, the power of this motor is 100-105 hp. Moreover, it is possible that for sports Kalina, the power will be slightly increased due to brain reconfiguration.
How much will such Kalina cost? You can now not even ask about this to this question so far no one will answer you. Most likely, such cars will ask for about $ 12,000 13,000. But, we repeat, this is nothing more than an assumption.
We represented two combat vehicles prepared by group N. And here we must emphasize that group N for us, ordinary mortals, is most interesting in motorsport. Indeed, according to the regulations, cars that act in this category can have only a minimum of changes. Apart from the mandatory installation of the safety frame, fire extinguishing systems, sports seats and other steering wheel for racing machines, it turns out that engineers can only make changes to the engine setting up (and even small ones), as well as play with elastic elements of the suspension (springs and shock absorbers ). And it's all. But the engine itself, the gearbox, the steering and even the pendants and brake levers should be standard!
That is why under the hood of combat vehicles there was a 1.4-liter 16-valve engine. Representatives of the Lada Sport engineering and production center do not hide that they would have equipped Kalina with great pleasure with a 1.6-liter unit with 16 valves. However, because of the regulations, the car cannot yet be done as close as possible to serial models (a more voluminous engine will appear on racing machines only after the start of sales of sports versions of Kalina 1.6 16V).
Although the engine here is still not entirely standard. Thanks to other brains and exhaust system, it gives out very decent 120 hp. And this is felt immediately even at idle speed the motor works truly evil. Hearing this engine, you understand that it is capable of a lot. Of course, the charged Lada Kalina is not Mitsubishi Lancer Evo yet, but you can get a lot of pleasure behind the wheel of this machine. Especially if you travel on ice on the so -called long spikes. The most important thing at the same time in corners quickly twist the steering wheel and not be afraid to burn on the gas. True, it is not worth counting on the fact that AvtoVAZ will sell cars with such winter tires, because you cannot drive asphalt with similar spikes. But it can be assumed that on standard good winter wheels hot Kalina with a hard suspension will go well.
But during the test, one of the most serious disadvantages of the current versions of sports Kalina was very pronounced very vividly. This is a lot even for an ordinary car that drives around the city, and for a racing car, such a steering wheel is at all good. But everyone is knowing about this drawback Lada Kalina.
