Can Izh compete with Niva?If you adhere to the formal classification, then to compare the Niva and ODU 4x4 would be incorrect. This, of course, the price is almost the most significant argument for the overwhelming majority of our motorists.
So, is there many inexpensive all-wheel drives in the market worth 4.5 to 5 thousand dollars? The answer is obvious: in the near future, only IZh 4x4 can become a real alternative to the old woman. And if so, the buyer will definitely possess everything for and against, intending to give preference to one of these models. Therefore, we throw formalism - the comparison is inevitable.
Test in rest
Before turning to the numbers, I note that with a comparable price of one car, five doors, in the other - only three. Yes, in the nomination, the convenience of landing - disembarkation is unconditionally leading IL. Measuring the salons, made sure: the Niva can only boast a high ceiling. The remaining parameters are the range of longitudinal adjustment of the front seats, the space in front of the knees of the rear passengers, the width of the salon at the level of the shoulders, the length of the lower pillows of the front and rear seats is better at Iza. The steering column of Niva is tilted stronger - landing in a car closer to trolleybus. But it is good or bad - to judge the consumer. Many, for example, do not like other extremes when the column is almost horizontally, as in izh or Samara.
Car triggers - full opposite. In Togliatti all-terrain - short and high. In Izhevsk all-class - long and low. But in the width, the picture is ambiguous. In the narrowest place loses IL, in the broadest - Niva. The volume of the trunk in ODD is more. The dimensions of the openings are quite comparable. Until the road is over
In a number, the all-wheel drive disciplines is simply obliged to win from the sough. Our couple is no exception. Due to the greater, in comparison with the Niva, the database and the self-locking inter-axis differential IZH 2126-062, much more obedient on slippery ice or snow-covered coatings (about the design features of the transmission and winter talents of the car can be found from the publications of SM, 2002, №1, 3, 4). Outside of roads with solid coated, the outcome of the fight was predetermined. The intrigue consisted in how long Izh will be able to resist Niva in his native element for her. Only on the protracted slippery lines, he lagged a little - in the mud, the coupling properties of the road tires leave much to be desired. However, despite the scored clay tire protector, the four-wheel drive still pulled the car to the summit. By the way, very pleased with the competently selected gear ratios of the gearbox. In the second and third Izh pulls confident Niva, unless, of course, it does not include reduced transmission in the transfer box.
It was not bad to show myself 4x4 and in the sandy career - the VAZ all-terrain vehicle under these conditions it was not possible. In general, in order to touch IL to plant, it was pretty to suffer. The desired place was still found - they were the extended section of a viscous clay in half with water. He was decided to storming from the course. Jerk, and half of the way stayed behind. But in those conditions where the specified arsenal is useful, there is nothing to do anything.
Sympathy or calculation?
So comparison and choice. With an equal price for a person, the main criterion is not logic, but the traditional like it - I do not like it. If you forget about sympathy and antipathy, this picture is obtained. Reliability and quality of assembly in both applicants are comparable. Any domestic car is not ideal and from time to time will be disturbed by the owner.
Ode 4x4 is more a family and universal car, while Niva is the best girlfriend of a hunter or fisherman. However, the division is very conditional, because IL has a good passability, and the VAZ 21213 holds by wellhold on the asphalt. But much depends on the circumstances. The one who does not plan to ride a dense off-road is probably interested in a passenger full-wheel drive. If from the highway to the beloved cottage, several kilometers of impassive dirt - you have to put up with high fuel consumption, and with noisy all-terrestrial tires, and with fewer doors.
