The 2.4-liter atmospheric diesel engine has always been given to passengers a lot of time to admire landscapes. But times are changing. Today, top -end equipment involves a three -liter diesel engine, an automatic gearbox and complete equipment, which, no matter how regrettable, serves to stain Hilux. But the Nestle workshop thinks differently. Meanwhile, the Toyota dealer specializes in the modernization of Japanese all -wheel drive cars. And the restyled version of Hilux did not long untouched in November. Nestle masters endowed the pickup with the image of a real SUV, and this operation was not aimed at the visual effect, but to improve the cross -country ability. The main part was the converted handout from Land Cruiser. Thus, Toyota received a permanent all -wheel drive (for serial models, all -wheel drive must be turned on manually).
In addition, as a result of perfect transformations, it became possible to block the center differential manually, regardless of the position of the automatic switch so that now you can easily control the locking box lock even on reduced gear. The tested Hilux also changed the chassis, the brake system was improved, the bottom protection, the rear axle lock and off -road tires were installed. At the expense of the control unit, a three -liter motor received 200 horsepower and 425 nm of torque. The new adaptive five -speed automatic gearbox in terms of switching works on the class better than the previous four -speed machine. And if you take into account the powerful D-4D engine, it becomes clear even for Hilux for a long time the times when it could be repaired on the knee. 13 meters for a turn can cause certain difficulties if it is necessary to carefully travel on Hilux through the wilds. The engine confidently pushes the car, but works in a limited speed range. This is suitable for a five -speed machine, which in everyday life harmoniously copes with the necessary power.
