Fulfilling this acrobatic number, you will be bounced and grunted deliciously, and yet, probably, go knees behind the steering wheel.
But after you justify, the Hi-class is guaranteed to you. Especially if you also adjust the seat for yourself (there are a lot of options for ensuring the perfect landing here). The navigator can also be settled.
But the back row disappeared. To climb there is even worse than on the front seats, and there is almost no freedom for the legs there. Although this should be expected: places are listed as +2. The benefits of them are actually only that the backs can be folded, thereby increasing the volume of the luggage compartment.

And the fact that Celica is precisely a sports car is no doubt. But the music this time was least interested in us. The sound of a 189 -horsepower engine is what we were eager to listen to. And even more - to test the power unit in work.
Turn the key in the ignition lock, and besides the fact that the engine has launched, we note another thing: the appearance of two new shirts on the instrument panel - fuel level and coolant temperature. Both of them are electronic, and therefore were not activated before the driver turned on the ignition. An interesting solution, although, in our opinion, is not indisputable: why to fence a garden from heterogeneous sensors on one shield of devices? But - they agree - beautifully. In this Celica, damn it, everything is beautiful, there is nothing to complain about. Maybe the flaws will appear in the movement?
Noting that the review from the driver's seat is very good, we turn on the clutch. But it, I admit, could have been softer. No, not the pedal itself, but her work, the lack of smoothness. The discs at the last moment come closer somehow very rapidly. The result is a jerk with each switch.
And the engine is not so quiet. It seems that we do not twist, some four thousand revolutions, but listens in the cabin - be healthy. Calm and do not travel. However, what kind of calm ride can we talk about when you are sitting at the wheel of Toyota Celica! The gas is to failure, and we'll see there.
Another start from a traffic light sets all points over I. The moment of truth comes, as they say. First. Four seconds - 60 km/h. The second is another three seconds, and a hundred. Stop. The traffic light again. The leg is thrown into the brake pedal. Pitch. More. Eight brake pads with frantic force dig into ventilated wheels. A moment, and the car stops at the stop line, marked by the sand spilled by someone. If it weren’t for ABS, us would have fired us to the middle of the intersection.
Again the start - and again red. No, this is not a ride, there is nothing to scare the people in the city, we must get out onto the track.
While we get out, we note that the suspension by car is very comfortable. Moderately hard, tightly knocked down. Even on the very broken tram tracks, not a single complaint came to us. It’s not scary, apparently, to drive the pits. The clearance of 140 mm is not so small for a sports car.
On the highway we choose a hiding jacket, look around - as if not, there are no extra. Rybakov with electric holes like, too.
And again, glue the gas pedal to the floor. The arrow of the tachometer is rapidly rushing along the arc. Four thousand. Five. Six thousand. What is happening later is insanity: after six and a half thousand revolutions, picking up as if a rocket engine is turned on. And this extravaganza continues up to 8000 min-1.
In general, if you maintain such a pace of driving, you miss up to 200 km/h very famously, and there it is a stone's throw to the maximum 225. The main thing, during the acceleration, as if I did not want to, do not switch to the sixth gear. She on Celica is exclusively increasing and, we would still say, noise -disposable. When the courage passes and wants to take a break from the perky singing of the motor, contact it. In the car, it will immediately become quiet to peace. Moreover, the sixth gear can be subsided with 70 km/h. The 1.8 -liter engine is quite calmly pulling, and if necessary, it also disperses the car. However, the gas pedal is too soft. With a long monotonous driving along the highway, the leg begins to get tired.
No, it’s better to go to the floor again. We move to the fourth, and - drove the city to the forest.
You can talk for a long time about how Celica keeps the way, how much her steering is, how great the feedback is. But all this will be nothing in comparison with what you feel when the next steep turn remains behind you, and you didn’t even notice it, although the speedometer shooter at that moment was mistaken somewhere near 150 km/h. (Honestly, now I can hardly believe that this is possible.) Of course, it would be possible to tear the car into a skid at 180 and, having been hanging in his tongue, to take out some kind of derogatory verdict. But why?
However, characterizing the Toyota brand, would not fall into an unexpected lyrics, meaningless with a sound assessment: 37 thousand dollars ...
