In Russia, sales of a new generation of Toyota Avensis have begun. The model is proposed in five trim levels: comfort plus, eleganes, eleganes plus, prestige and luxury.
 
Third -generation Avensis differs from the predecessors of a new, more sportswear shape, developed in accordance with the Vibrant Clarity design concept, a more spacious salon, increased comfort and safety.
 
The car is produced in two body variants: sedan and station wagon. Avensis has become 50 mm longer than the previous generation model: the sedan size is 4695 mm, and the station wagon is 4765 mm. Both versions have the same wheelbase (2700 mm) and height (1480 mm). Increased by 50 mm and car width to 1810 mm.
 
Toyota Avensis is supplied with new gasoline engines with a working volume of 1.8 and 2 liters. They have high efficiency, power and torque thanks to the use of Valvematic and Dual VVT-I systems.
 
The fast-acting variator of the Multidrive S and the 6-speed mechanical transmission allow the car owner to enjoy incredible smooth movement and excellent dynamics.
 
And the set of means of active and passive safety, which the model is equipped, starting with standard configuration, provides excellent protection of the driver and passengers. The machine is equipped with an ABS and an electronic system for distribution of brake force (EBD) of the latest generation. Together with them, a device for helping with emergency braking (VA) works, which allows you to achieve even greater efficiency of braking in an emergency. The new system of exchange rate stability (VSC+), which operates together with the steering electrical power (EPS), and the anti -circus system (TRC) provide maximum stability of the car in conditions of insufficient grip, for example in rain, on snow -covered or gravel roads.
 
Third -generation Avensis is equipped with seven aerial tapes, including a safety pillow for protecting the driver’s knees, two frontal for a driver and a front passenger, front side, as well as side safety curtains for the front and rear parts of the cabin. Active headrests of the front seats reduce the risk of injuries of the cervical spine.
 
According to the results of independent testing, EURONCAP in 2009, the new Avensis earned the highest rating of five stars, showing the best result in its segment.
 
The developers of the last Toyota Avensis series paid special attention to the equipment of the cabin, which creates comfortable conditions to the driver. This is a navigation system with a touch display, Bluetooth technology, an audio system with 11 speakers, 10 GB of disk space for audio recordings, a rear view camera and parking sensors (luxury equipment).
 
The new generation of Avensis is produced at the Toyota plant in Burnaston (Derbishir), Great Britain. Recommended retail prices begin at 860 thousand rubles. (depending on the equipment).
