Suzuki SX4 sedan test drive since 2010 sedan
Suzuki SX4 Test drive: high cross-country sedan
Having got acquainted with the updated Japanese sedan Suzuki SX4, the Kolesa.ru portal was pleased with the silence in the hard salon, looked at the competitors and looked through the on -board computer. The wheels crew returned to Petersburg from Moscow not empty -handed. This time, on our test, a popular sedan is a four -door version of the Japanese cross -compound. In the capital, we received a almost new mileage of a little more than 200 km. A minute where is the key? Here he is - reliably hidden in a keychain. At first glance, a well -groomed equipment surprised the access system into a car without a key. A promising beginning
Our SX4 has a 1.6-liter motor with an automatic gearbox in the GLX configuration. Already in the database there is a lot of interesting things: an audio system with a six-disks CD champter and a steering wheel control, heating the front seats (with one, very intense mode), alloy wheels. The Japanese manufacturer did not forget about safety, equipping the car with 6 pillows, as well as the course stability system (ESP). Nice, stylish and expensive. It is a pity, the steering wheel can only be tuned along the corner of the inclination. But it should be noted that none of the drivers of Kolesa.ru complained about the inconvenience of setting up control for himself.
Inside, the sedan is identical to the crossover, who, thanks to a complete drive, is popular in our country by much more than a 4-door version. (The SX4 sedan is available only in the front -wheel drive version with a 1.6 liter engine, with a capacity of 111 hp) the dashboard is the same, there is the same place in the cabin. And the additional 40 cm of length went into the trunk with a volume of as much as 515 liters. In addition, in the sedan you can fold the back of the rear seat, thereby increasing the volume for the transportation of long -termers. The plastic is hard and not particularly pleasant to the touch, but the interior details are screwed perfectly.
The driver’s landing in the SX4 is rather a bus than a passenger relationship with a compactiveness of increased cross -country ability, highly standing above the road, makes itself felt. In addition, a 165 mm clearance makes it possible to be less selective in choosing a route. At least in the rut, trodden in the flow of city cars on an unclean road, Suzuki SX4 will not scrap either the bottom or the bumper.
Let the four -speed automatic be not young, but it copes with the task: the programs change each other smoothly, on time and without jerks. True, with a sharp acceleration, the engine growls, shouting an audio system, automatically increasing the volume. And one more thing: the gas pedal is incredibly sensitive: literally every half half a million it changes the position of the tachometer arrow. It is almost impossible to move on the winter road without slipping.
As for ergonomics, access to the audio system and other necessary knitting buttons in the reach. What can not be said about the on -board computer, the request of the navigator to name the remaining mileage before refueling caused confusion: in order to change the picture on the screen of the dashboard, it was necessary to click on a small button, which simply was not felt to the touch. Find it in the dark, sticking a hand inside the rim of the steering wheel, especially on a winter road, tasks, to put it mildly, is not easy
What changed
Distinguishing prerestyling Suzuki SX4 from the previous is not easy, especially outside. All external changes are reduced only to the new radiator grille. Inside the new instrument shield and the climate control remote control with the display, and at the top of the central console there is a large column of the audio system. True, only in the top configuration.
Arriving in St. Petersburg, we immediately ran into the problem of parking in the already difficult winter conditions. The luggage compartment at the sedan SX4 is very much off, so it is very difficult to see even a bumper standing behind through the glass. There are no parking sensors in the SX4 - you have to either believe your sixth feeling, or to run out of the car with a lot of times so as not to hurt anyone. We strongly recommend installing parking sensors; For most cars, this thing in the metropolis is no longer a luxury, but a necessity.
Prices
The cost of test configuration is 684,000 rubles. While the same machine with a manual box will cost 30,000 rubles. cheaper. The basic sedan is sold for 584,000 rubles, and the entry -level crossover costs 15,000 rubles more.
