The latter figure, in turn, testified to the unconditional all -zone of the car. In a word, the baby was presented with all his might as an SUV, and only then as a city car.
But at the same time, the Japanese laid the final definition of this orientation of this, with permission to say, directly to the client. A couple of different in their philosophy of Urban Line and Outdoor Line are offered to choose from. In the first version, the car was a front -wheel drive family compactwane, oriented (based on the name) primarily on the movement of city highways. The second version, on the contrary, was adapted to lovers of outdoor activities. She was attached to the appropriate body kit, increased road clearance, provided with a full -wheel drive transmission and, by the way, with a very decent price tag (about $ 24,000).
Typically, the monopoly versions of nominal availability also did not differ, however, the people, oddly enough, rejoiced and began to consume the SX-4 at the same speed as the domestic Ford Focus. Moreover, other customers were not embarrassed and the fact that they sometimes had to wait for the car they had been supposed to be nearly one and a half (!) Year.
In a word, the expansion of the family in such a situation seems absolutely justified, but the novelty, in my opinion, finally, the image of the most all -season, all -weather and sports car finally. Alas, Suzuki SX-4 Sedan performed by 4x4 is not proposed. At least for now, so there can be no talk of any off -road Outdoor Line at the moment.
Actually, what we received at the exit is an ordinary B-class sedan like Chevrolet Aveo, Renault Logan or who had deceled in a Bose version of Skoda Fabia (much less democratic, but, in fact, not differing from the current competitors, neither the originality of the style or the originality of the style or the originality of the style Perfection of the design, not filling). Although in the latter case, it is worth recognizing that even the basic set of Suzuki provides for all four electric windows, air conditioning, electric drives and heating mirrors, two airbags, as well as ABS, EBD and BAS, than many of its non -Yapanese classmates boast only in top -end performance. As for stylistics, this sedan, you see, is not a handsome man. Of course, it is prettier than the same Suzuki Liana, more modern Logan and more original than Aveo, but the hatchback body, in my opinion, looks much more interesting. In addition, it is better combined with the inner world of this car, at least with its ergonomics.
The first thing you pay attention to when you are driving the SX-4 is a vertical landing, which is usually uncharacteristic for cars with a pronounced trunk. Sitting is unusual, but there are pluses. Firstly, thanks to this, even very high people can accommodate in the cabin, since the raising of the roof allows you to make such an installation without any trouble. It is also worth noting a fairly decent range of adjusting the steering column. But the move of the salamus could be more, this, by the way, applies to the elevator of the driver's seat. On the other hand, these restrictions just allow you to find a reasonable compromise between the comfort of the front and rear passengers. Placing the latter another advantage of SX-4. The legs and knees of the second row visitors are enough, even if the front seats are pushed to the stop. Here, by the way, it is worth recalling that this model is built on the basis of far from the most dimensional in the Suzuki Swift class. But at the same time, experimenting with capacity is still not worth it. The third adult passenger on the back sofa will not fit the width of the salon will not allow. The central tunnel will be crowded there and the children will be too high, so the legs will have to be placed with one of the neighbors.
However, a roomy rear sofa has never been a dignity of such cars. But the volume of the luggage compartment is 515 liters beyond praise here, this is more than Logan, but unlike the Frenchman, you can also partially or completely fold the back of the rear sofa, thereby increasing the useful space almost doubled.
The SX-4 interior is somewhat reminiscent of a single-platform SWIFT with its massive, slightly rounded in the upper part of the front panel, so it looks good. However, in this case, I would prefer the darker tones to be more practical, moreover, the dark color does not make it so, and with blood-red backlighting buttons and devices, it is combined much harmonious. By the way, the Japanese sedan differs very profitably from more budget classmates and interior decoration. Everything is made here of hard plastics, but the disguise of materials does not cause any complaints. The only, in my opinion, missing coating of the central console that does not delight either the eye or the hand.
The nominal line of power units SX-4 consists of two gasoline engines and turbodiesel. However, this model is delivered to our country only with a 1.6-liter, developing 107 horses by a VVT aggregate. The restrictions also affected the set of transmission, from where, after the crossing of the borders of our Motherland, the progressive 6-speed manual transmission disappeared. So the potential buyer has the opportunity to choose either a 5-speed mechanics or a 4-speed machine. In our case, the last one was attached to the car, which, in fact, predetermined the nature of the test. Naturally, there is no need to wait for special dynamics from such a car: there is an obvious shortage of torque on the bottom, while the box reacts with some thought to an attempt to force her work. However, it is worthwhile to go out for 3,000 rpm, how the nature of the movement changes noticeably, from the phlegmatic awn suzuki turns into a rather brisk -looking bait, it is a pity that not endowed with the sequental regime of the automatic transmission, at every opportunity, returns it to the original semi -dense state. However, in an even dense stream or on a highway where sharp accelerations are not needed, this tandem leaves an exceptionally pleasant impression: the car goes evenly, easily and unobtrusively. And what is characteristic, the hearing does not rape. True, in general, noise insulation here is not realized in the best way, at least the arches of the wheels should be protected additionally.
But I liked the steering wheel, even though it is clearly designed for female hands. In a word, it is too light, but the amplifier settings are so adequate that they allow you to make quick cascading maneuvers, without losing my connection with the road for a second. The sedan also prescribes long turns, easily succumbing to adjustment. Here, by the way, another feature of the SX-4 is manifested in the pothole, the sedan even works very gently at medium speeds, so the trajectory, in fact, remains unchanged. For such machines, such behavior, as a rule, is uncharacteristic, as, however, is uncharacteristic and such a decent smoothness. Japanese pendants work harmoniously and clearly, so that the flaws of the roadway remain for passengers almost invisible. In extreme cases, the body simply nods, immediately returning to its original position. What is characteristic, the cranes of the body at the same time are strong, but non -critical. In general, in this case, the designers still found the middle ground.
Alas, but the same golden middle, it seems to me, could not find marketers of 480,000 rubles for the basic W-class sedan? Let it almost equalized with the same mazda3 and decently equipped, but its essence remained the same. However, people like it.

Ford Focus is comparable to Suzuki SX-4 both in dimensions and in price, but at the same time this car is a step above the Japanese. 379,000 rubles are asked for the basic version today.
