Ergonomics of both cars deserves separate praise. Of course, this is partly due not to a very large set of functions. On the other hand, a logical group of control buttons, as well as convenient switches, makes a positive impression. In Jimny, all this is realized even a little better.
With the last modernization, the control of the distribution box finally received an electric drive. So the second lever to include all -wheel drive and control the lowering gear is no longer needed. But with all its ability to charm with practicality, the quality of materials and the decoration of both candidates is still disappointed, although the price of these SUVs really low. In comparison with ordinary cars, the acquisition of mini-venders is not so profitable: so, as terios Pirsch equivalent VW dealers can offer Golf a good configuration. Given this fact, it is not very joyful to touch the rigid plastic of the steering wheel every day. The engines of both rivals are more than worthy of doing their job. They cheerfully take up business and are very predictable, while they are able to prove themselves in the urban movement, for example, both engines allow you to drive at a speed of 50 km/h in the fifth gear without braking. To move in the stream and on the highway, you do not need to strain. The arrow of the tachometer should be moved closer to the red zone only if necessary to overtake. Fuel consumption over 8 liters is not so small for light speed. However, such a result is partly explained by the fact that in some road situations the engines have to be kept at high speeds.
Significant differences are noted in the behavior of cars on the road. Jimny has a very short wheelbase and a very rigid suspension of an uncertain bridge, which is why driving a car requires an extraordinary abilities from a driver. At the same time, trips to long distances may seem a nightmare not only to pampered drivers of sedans after a while, after a while, nothing but constant shaking, various shocks, even on an apparent even road. Therefore, for Suzuki, it is excusable that as a result of the obligatory passage of the drama test, he turned out to be the second. Since Suzuki does not have a target stability system, it passes a snake 0.6 seconds, while ESP Terios constantly and carefully controls it. But Suzuki has a danger of overturning if you go to it too briskly. And the fact that despite the weight of only 1,094 kilograms, at a speed of 100 km/h, it stops only after 49.7 meters, it does not glorify it. Daihatsu shows a more acceptable result of its braking distance is about 40 meters.
