Ssangyong Kyron: Now gasoline!

In less than two years, Ssangyong has released the restyled version of the Kyron SUV.
The reason for an easy change in the image was the appearance in the line of a new gasoline engine.
The new Kyron is distinguished from the prerestyling model, the new form of headlights and rear lights, as well as a new radiator grille and bumpers. Elubicated fog lights took the place of round.
A little, but even less changes in the cabin. But they are more spectacular. The most noticeable silver circle described around the gearbox handle used to slide to the left, and now he was striking strictly to the center.
Perhaps there are other differences, but in order to notice them, you need to be a perfect expert in Ssangyong. In general, everything else has not undergone changes. Of course, except for the engine!
The new is well forgotten old. Mercedesovsky 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, deformed up to 150 liters. With. The old one that Ssangyong does not allow you to forget. This engine is equipped with a larger Rexton, and recently the same power unit will replace a 2.0-liter turbodiesel.
However, it will not be replaced forever, and for a while only a gasoline engine will be placed on the updated Kyron, and later diesel unit will be added to them.
The first thing you notice inside Kyron is a tachometer with a red zone starting after 6,000 rpm. You can't get out the diesel! And if you start the motor, you can feel another long -standing plus of gasoline compared to the diesel engine silence and much smaller vibrations.
One and a half hundred horses, although there are a lot, but a two -ton SUV is not enough in the city. Particularly confident bottoms that diesel could boast of. And the nature of the gasoline engine is even and leisurely, especially with a four -speed automatic. He smoothly switches the programs, however, without infringing on comfort and not disturbing the vestibular apparatus of passengers.
The energy -intensive suspension copes well with small and medium irregularities, and greatly shocks on larger Kyron. But it is impossible to call the car uncomfortable: all vibrations are optimally extinguished before penetrating inside the cabin.
Ssangyong is controlled well, especially with the stabilization system turned off. Electronics is too worried about the safety of the driver (which, in principle, is good!), Therefore, predicts and is ahead of the wheels.
A frame SUV with all -wheel drive connected and reducing in a number of gears, a harsh machine capable of solving serious off -road problems.
And Kyron’s salon is to match the following tasks: serious, strict, without unnecessary bells and whistles, but extremely understandable in each of its elements. No giant information displays that supply you with tons of data: only the simplest, to primitive, dials and an unpretentious screen with easily readable numbers.
Maybe not the most elegant, but a very convenient wide armrest allows you to conveniently accommodate and not look for support for the right hand. The seats are moderately tough, very reminiscent of the Opel interior, and are also convenient.
Only the back row sitting in the middle of the back row will feel discomfort, Korean engineers did not expect that someone would ever sit there.
The appearance of a 2.3-liter gasoline version is not the most logical step for the manufacturer. The fuel is getting more expensive, and Ssangyong removes (albeit for a while) diesel engine and offers gasoline, larger volume, respectively, and with a large fuel consumption.
However, it is possible that it was a small selection of power units (only one!) That caused the lesser popularity of Kyron compared to Rexton's older brother. In addition, a gasoline version of 32,000 rubles. Cheaper, which means Kyron has become more accessible.
Will everything change now?
