Skoda Superb Combi 2.0 TSI test drive: Czech deja vu

The portal Kolesa.ru once again appreciated the SuperB station wagon of Superb the largest in the lineup of the brand truth, already on domestic expanses and with an updated list of competitors.

Universals in Russia are not too popular
Thus began our article on the year ago, dedicated to Skoda Superb Combi. To understand then, in the Czech Republic, why such a car needed in Russia was very difficult. Universal? Business class? Yes, and the price for a million three hundred? One hundred percent commercial failure.

But in life everything is different. Today, after almost a year, Skoda Superb Combi scattered across Russia, exhausting quotas for several months in advance. But you do not need to deceive. On St. Petersburg roads, the Superb wagons are found with the regularity of Ferrari. Russian quotas are scanty, and dealers in St. Petersburg sell 2-4 cars a month from the cabin. But they sell, and even complain that there is not enough. Let's try to look at this car again, carefully seeing its dignity.

In a dark color, nearly a five -meter car, in solidity is in no way inferior to its three -bit brothers. And from some angles it looks even harmonious and elegant than Sedan Superb. Well, in practicality, by definition, it surpasses the version with four doors, even despite the fact that the sedan can become five -door if necessary.

The scope on the rear couch is exhaustive: there is no need for so much free space in reality, of course, if the passenger is not an uncle Styop. In the absence of a fee, Skoda Superb Combi will easily go for practical discreet personnel. Moreover, not only due to the fact that behind you can relax your legs, throwing a couple of bicycles into a huge trunk. A high -quality interior is made in the best traditions of the German school, and a leather salon, standard navigation with a large display and a panoramic opening hatch add a universal school of premium surroundings.

The two -liter turbo engine did not disappoint. Its 200 horsepower allows you to feel acceleration up to the 200 km/h prohibited on our asphalt. The elasticity of the gasoline engine 2.0 TSI can be envied even by a diesel unit of the same volume that opens the model gamut of Skoda Superb Combi in Europe. Moreover, a two -hundredth herd is clearly sitting on a sports diet: the city fuel consumption did not exceed 13 liters per hundred, even with quite active pedaling.

And everything would be wonderful if not for the suspension settings. On a good road, a 1 577-kilogram car behaves perfectly, allowing the driver even a little fucking, playing on a ring in the checkers. But as soon as even asphalt ends, the entire hooligan excitement disappears. Hard strokes transferred to the body from the pardon of all sizes force to slow down almost to pedestrian. If the Skodb Skoda station wagon was positioned as a charged car, the Audi Avant S or RS series, the lack of sled comfort can still be understood. But for a solid family machine, such information content of the suspension is useless. In the cabin, we were explained that this is due to the absence of a package for bad roads on the test machine, which makes Superb a little higher and comfortable: 17 disks with low -profile rubber and euro suspension are installed on this car. And with a package, bad roads of the car will increase by 15 mm, and 16-inch wheels with a higher rubber profile will appear in the wheel arches.

Nevertheless, Skoda Superb Combi is good, even despite the basic price of 1,349,000 rubles in exhausting configuration. Although the image component does not allow comparing a car with a premium segment, formally Superb's skoda belongs to the class E, which means that in the closest competitors it turns out to be none other than the Audi A6 Avant. The Ingolstetsk station wagon, which is now undergoing restyling procedure and will appear in an updated form only next year, with a similar motor and equipment cost in the region of 1,650,000 1,750,000 rubles. But the smaller in the size of the VW Passat Variant, which is also weaker than 48 forces and is worse equipped, costs 1,246,000 rubles. So now it is clear why Skoda Superb Combi is in stable, albeit limited demand. Offer the same thing as competitors and even a little more, for less money a competent approach!

The station wagon is sold in Russia in the only configuration of Elegance Plus and with a single 2.0 TSI engine with a capacity of 200 hp, in the Commonwealth with which the six -speed robotic DSG box is working. The price of 1,349,000 rubles, given the richest equipment, including, inter alia, the leather decoration of the cabin, does not seem to be overpriced.

The test car is richer for standard navigation, an autonomous pre -heater with DU and color metallic pulled 1,471,500 rubles.
