Benet Automotive (BT), which specializes in the finalization of Skoda cars, changes stereotypes. As part of the search for a partner in the Russian market, the tuning studio brought us three of its projects: two Yeti crossovers and Octavia RS hatchback.Everyone is used to counting the Skoda Octavia hatchback practical, suitable for completely different types of drivers. For a leisurely driving, there is a 102-horsepower version of MPI, for more demanding drivers in the Skoda arsenal there are TSI turbo engines with a capacity of 122 or 152 hp, and for the most selective Skoda drivers, I prepared a 200-horsepower charged modification of Octavia RS. And with any type of Octavia engine, it does not cease to be a practical car with a spacious salon and a spacious trunk.
The Benet Automotive Czech Tuning Atelier has existed since 2000. After a couple of years, the tuners came close to Skoda cars. Now the company is trying to get to the Russian market. The first step was the premiere of cars in BT tuning at the 2010 Moscow Motor Show, now three cars from BT have appeared in the park of the Russian representative office of Skoda. One problem - the price of such tuning is still unknown.
However, despite the presence of RS-ki and the agility of the turbo version of Octavia, in Russia this model was famous for a family car for a calm and measured driving. The young audience pays more attention to the stylish Mazda6 or the aggressive Honda Accord, while people who have settled down and professing a calm driving style choose Skoda.
Outside, the BT-shk is given out by a large lining on the front bumper, the diffuser in the rear, more developed spoiler and the pipes of the exhaust system. All overlays are made of carbonate. It looks good and stylish.

Such Skoda attracts the attention of others as a magnet. Believers from the Benet Automotive, BT wrappers are issued on the radiator grille and front doors.
From the first kilometers after leaving the parking lot of the dealer center, I began to catch the surprised looks of pedestrians and the public from neighboring cars. And there is something to be surprised. The front bumper received a large lip, overlays on the thresholds, a large diffuser in the rear bumper and the overlap on the spoiler. All these lotions are made of Kevlar fiber, and the BT logo flaunts on the radiator grille and front doors.
The main role in the exterior from Benet Automotive undoubtedly got a huge 19-inch forged discs with tires Michelin Pilot Sport 235/35 R19. In addition, in comparison with the usual Octavia RS, the charged version of BT received 30 mm clearance, which not only influenced controllability, but made the appearance of the BT-shki even more aggressive and swift.
Sports front chairs with highly developed lateral support were installed in the cabin, the seats themselves, the front panel and the doors were covered in red skin, and the central part of the console, an ashtray, the outlet of the gearbox lever, the lighting control panel, the lining near the ignition lock, the insert over the gloves and the gloves The inserts on the door rolled into the carbon.
Front buckets have a cool profile and pronounced side support tenaciously hold the bodies of passengers even in the coolest turns.
Under the hood is the standard TSI 2,0-liter TSI turbo engine for Octavia RS, which is paired with a 6-speed DSG robotic box. By the forces of BT engineers, its capacity was increased from standard 200 to 258 hp. As a result, the maximum torque grew to 340 nm (+60nm), and in acceleration to a hundred managed to win for almost a second 6.3 versus 7.2 seconds at the usual RS-ki.
The decoration of the salon with red skin came to the place here.
But the numbers on paper are one, and the real sensations are completely different. The powerful acceleration of standard octavia has turned into a hurricane, which is added by the modified exhaust system. The gas reactions worsened. Now the Czech hatchback with the BT nameplate is always ready for a sharp attack, you just need to stomp along the floor pedal of the accelerator. Sometimes this nervousness is even annoying, and instead of the desired unhurried acceleration of Octavia, it flashes a stabilization system with a stabilization system even 60 km/h, trying to tear 19-inch bast shoes into a slip. After refinement of the Octavia BT motor, she lost the balance of smoothness and sharpness, which was pleased with the Skoda factory with the RS index.
In addition to red -skinned finishes, some interior elements interiors from Benet Automotive finished carbon. On the front panel, a sign with an individual model number flaunts. Our car was the twelfth. The instrument panel did not touch, it retained the factory look.
At a time when the turbo engine breaks into battle, the DSG transmission tries to save fuel, persistently switching to an increased level. But it is worth clicking on the gas, as the box is dumped a couple of gears down and the front wheels rushing into the box are again besieged by the stabilization system. lumber DSG in a sport mode. Now the box holds each gear longer, actively slows down the engine when discharging the gas and instantly switches to a low one. Yes, I like such Skoda. Without unnecessary modesty, the Czech hatch is ready for any shot and continues to confidently gain speed, even when the speedometer arrow is selected at the mark of 200 km/h. With the brakes of Octavia BT, everything is also in order: enlarged brake discs and 6-piston front calipers, painted red, help effectively.
To the surprise, a 30 mm suspension and 19-inch rollers did not turn a sketch into a dentist apparatus akin to Subaru WRX STI. Of course, the BT-shu actively reacts to bumps and clearly repeats the profile of the road, but what is the holder! The rolls are absent even in sharp turns, and on the direct Octavia BT shows enviable stability. And only on the ruts you need to be more careful and stronger to hold the steering wheel so that the wide wheels of 235/35 R19 do not tear the steering wheel out of the hands. Large irregularities are better to go around or pass at a minimum speed by buying a forged disk and a low -profile Pilot Sport tire will fly into a penny.
Under the front 19-inch wheels, enlarged brake discs and six-piston calipers are hidden, which guarantee effective slowdown at any speed.
As for the cost of the car itself, Skoda is still silent about it. Not a single Skodovsky dealer, nor even the Russian representative office, the price of Skoda Octavia BT could not tell us. Moreover, there is also no answer from the head office of Benet Automotive, where the editorial office of Carclub.ru sent a letter asking for the price list to work. Maybe when prices will be known, finding a partner in Russia will become at least a little easier?
