Potential buyers of Renault Sando Stepwei with a small degree of probability will turn his eyes to the compact Czech hatchback beautiful, stylish, but city car. Fabia, unlike Sando Stepwei, does not boast of either a large road clearance or a cross -over appearance. Moreover, the engine has some kind of funny 3 cylinders and 1.2 liters of volume. But not everything is so clear.

Despite the differences, both five -door hatchbacks have unifying factors, the main of which is almost the same price. And not paying attention to this would be a mistake. After all, I always want to buy the most effective thing for the available money.

Let's start with the dimensions. Both cars are class B hatchbacks and are slightly different in size. Skoda noticeably loses only in a width of 13.1 cm, which will become especially noticeable when three will try to fit on the back sofa. However, two in the back will be more convenient in the Czech car due to a more convenient sofa. As for the stock of free space, in both cars, people of medium height will feel quite comfortable.

Power units are the main difference between two hatchbacks. According to this parameter, dry numbers of technical characteristics immediately attribute Skoda to outsiders. However, only nominally. Having lost 14 horsepower and 400 volume cubes, the Fabia engine is very easily twisted into the maximum thrust zone, allowing you to drive quite dynamically, at least within the permitted track-city speeds. In addition, 42 kg is lighter than Renault Skoda.

The only drawback of the Czech motor is the motorcycle sound of its work and undergoing at idle. But this is a feature of most engines with three cylinders.

Renault Sandero Stepway is delivered to our market in the only configuration that looks quite self -sufficient. It is proposed to pay extra only for the MP3 Magnetol.

The choice of versions for Skoda Fabia is much wider. For the money comparable to Sando, we got the Ambiente 1.2 MT equipment with an additional option package. Immediately note that we could not find such a version of Fabia for the test. I had to compare the basic package, which, in general, does not cancel the advantages of the Czech car.

As you can see, the equipment of Skoda is not as much better as more practical. In the selected configuration, Fabia has a set of more useful and necessary options. Sandero is richer only on the radio and cast discs, which undoubtedly decorate the appearance of the French car, however, are vulnerable on a broken road. Which, given the cross -over orientation of Stepwei, does not look very reasonable addition. The difference of 8,300 rubles, for which Skoda is more expensive, can be easily leveling by choosing one of the three colors offered for Fabia without a metallic shine.
