Renault Symbol has always been an excellent offer in its segment affordable, economical, moderately spacious, moderately frisky and moderately comfortable. The second successful acquisition of New Symbol is a new front optics: instead of triangular headlights, the car received a slightly elongated, entering the hood and wings. Only one drawback, despite the fact that the rear sofa develops entirely, due to the features of the design, only a narrow gap remains instead of the back of the seat: it will not be so simple to shove large-sized things into Renault.
It is very easy to penetrate the salon: the opening is wide, the doors are almost weightless. A low window line makes an aquarium from Symbol with all the ensuing advantages and disadvantages. Among the advantages of aquarium transparency, first of all, is an ideal visibility, which is played by easily calculated dimensions and successful mirrors.
 
Planting at the wheel can hardly be called ideal: for comfort, either there is not enough space for the legs, or you are sitting far from the steering wheel. In this case, the steering wheel can only be adjusted in height. But the seats are pleased with a comfortable profile and lateral support. At the back of the place is still a little: the legs are quite spacious, but above the heads there is a lack of space and a small claustrophobia. The third, poor man, will be completely sad on the back sofa, and he is formed for two. The location of the rear windows keyboards in the central tunnel remained unsuccessful, you will not reach.
 
No more revolutions are expected for today: the chassis remains the same, like engines and transmission. Only a 1.4-liter engine with a number of 98 hp is available for New Symbol. Instead of the previous 75. Diesel engines, as often happens, are not delivered to Russia. At least for now.
We took a car with an automatic transmission. It is available even in the poorest configuration, which adds to symbols of weight in comparison with budgetary-competing sedans. And for comparison Symbol of the previous generation with mechanics, dorestyling. He, as has already been mentioned above, is essentially different from post-ray-slicing only other bumpers.
 
Of course, you do not expect any miracles from the old four-speed machine, but this transmission in conjunction with a 98-horsepower engine is simply life-threatening. The programs are switched with tangible jerks, barely providing the machine for acceleration. Instead of waiting for adapting for yourself, it is better to adapt to the machine yourself and prepare the car for maneuvers in advance.
The Renault suspension has not changed: McPherson in front, the transverse torsion beam from the back and this should be written in pluses. The car is distinguished by excellent smoothness, protecting sensitive passengers from pits and other road imperfections. For this you have to pay small rolls in corners, but given the nature of the machine that does not provoke an aggressive driving, this cannot be called a disadvantage. In addition, the expense with an automatic machine after active maneuvers on the on -board computer reaches immodest 11.8 liters! It is better to calmly roll along the traffic jams or slowly swim along the highway for this, the symbol is perfect. Improved sound insulation also plays on the hands of serene and leisurely movement, to the sounds of a budget radio, which sings well, but sometimes changes the tonality of one led mood.
 
Of the shortcomings, it is worth noting the heavy steering wheel of the hand can be pumped in a couple of hours of driving, and also not too intelligible and informative brakes. ABS is, of course, great, but when trying to slow down on the ice, the sedan stopped five meters further than expected.
 
The new Symbol car is harmonious and honest. He retained the advantages of the previous generation, for which he fell in love with drivers looking for a good and affordable car for daily trips, with a large (huge!) Trunk, a more or less spacious interior, a pleasant decoration and a good set of options. Only now Symbol was reborn from a middle -aged hatchback with a talked trunk into a completely elegant sedan.
 
In addition to faithful fans among people of family, as well as commercial organizations looking for an inexpensive car with a large trunk, New Symbol may be attracted by those who are interested in a pleasant eye of an affordable price.
 
However, how affordable did the new symbol remain? For a budget sedan, this question is one of the primary.
At the price of the novelty, both an update and the notorious financial crisis played. 2009 prices are scared: the most affordable Authentique equipment with mechanics will cost 425,600 rubles, with a machine gun - 454,600 rubles. This version offers the steering hydraulic control, front electric windows, the steering wheel adjustment and a driver’s pillow, an on -automatic transmission is also available on an on -board computer. The average equipment of Expression in the appendage to all the above can boast of air conditioning, adjusting the driver's seat in height, rear windows, a radio with steering wheel control, heating and electric mirrors, rear seats, a passenger pillow and ISOFIX mounting system. The cost of the richest configuration of Privilege starts from 508,600 rubles (537,600 per automatic transmission), while the car will be equipped with climate control, heated front seats and side safety pillows.
Expensive? Given the situation in the market, devoid of stability and recharge in the form of car loans, the symbol can just win against the backdrop of the rise in the classroom class above. It is only comforted that you can still purchase cars at the pre -crisis prices of 2008: from 371,275 per base and from 483,275 for Privilege. So far

The rest of the rivals are more brutal. Hyundai Accent? It is more incendiary and cheerful to Renault, and cheaper from 329,700 rubles, but less comfortable and less pleasant to the eye. Chevrolet Aveo has a rather stylish appearance, but the most affordable models with a 1.2 -liter engine cost at least 380 630 rubles. Kia Spectra can also be purchased by having no less than 379,000 rubles in your pocket.
