Having ride two days at the diesel Duster, I can safely summarize: the French made an extremely universal car. It is clear that a multifunctional thing cannot be good in everything, but the diesel French crossover is better than others for the role of a car for all occasions. On the first day, Renault Duster managed to try in the suburbs and in the Azerbaijani capital itself, both on a good asphalt of the recently restored avenues, and on some (a couple of centuries ago) the laid paving stones of the narrow streets of the old city. The 90 horses dormant in diesel fuel already wake up from 1750 rpm and quickly draw the car into the stream, although not a very fresh, but very brisk fleet of Baku. Yes, and riding in the Baku pavers on Duster does not affect the nerves and the vestibular apparatus. We aggravated the tests on uneven surfaces the next day, when we left the capital and foothills, where sometimes there were no roads, even soil. But there were snakes (for example, a two-meter Gyurza!), Hares, Otars of sheep and the formidable Alabai dogs guarded them with prickly collars from nails. On the stones, the primer Duster is very comfortable, and 60 and 80 km/h, so that even passengers from the rear seat are not asked to lose speed and this, by the way, is an indicator. A very comfortable and energy -intensive suspension only managed to break through when the unnoticed pit was too deep. But at the same time, neither the bumper nor the bottom with the ground was contacted!
Even on steep lifts, the first gear had to be included extremely rarely, and most of the route was generally passed on the front -wheel drive. I used the differential blocking a couple of times, and then, to secure the tractor, I would have to run very far away, and I really did not want to do this in a suspiciously rustling and viciously hissing grass.
On the way back, already on an autobahn (there are, it turns out, in Azerbaijan and such at a permitted speed of 120 km/h), I noticed a slight vibration that began precisely near the border of the permitted speed threshold. Around the same time, a small scan of the car appeared, which has to be caught and kept in the right course. Perhaps the wheels or just budget rubber were navigated unevenly clogging with mud and small stones.
