Renault Duster test drive since 2012 SUV
"Hush Habar" or a folk hero
From the exciting French stories told by Renault, hundreds of thousands of Russians have been shaking for several years now. The main characters of these fairy tales, be it Renault Logan or Renault Sandero, have taken root in our people that the French decided to offer us one more thing. Meet Renault Duster.Hush Khabar so good news sounds in Uzbek. The fact that the news that was waiting for us on the ancient Uzbek land will be pleasant, I wanted to believe sincerely and without a doubt. After all, we had to get acquainted with the one whom the builders' fathers tried to call a people's hero.
The history of Duster began in December 2009, when the car was officially represented by the DACIA industrial group. In 2010, the intensive process of the migration of dasters in the third world state (Ukraine, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco, the countries of the Middle East and South America) began. All these markets, both under the Renault brand and under the Dacia brand, provided cars with the only plant in the Romanian city of Pitesti with a capacity of 350,000. The little car liked the fact that the builders' fathers decided to launch his production at the Sofas factory in Colombia, and then in the Indian city of Chenai. The scope is serious.
Finally reached Renault Duster to Russia. Production has been established at the Moscow Plant Autoframm, which will produce up to 80,000 dasters per year. In the future, the company expects to increase capacities to 175,000 cars per year. Some of the copies of the first parties were sent straight to Tamerlana’s homeland, so that in a distant foreign land, Russian journalists could understand what kind of Ivan (or Jean?) Is this daster a fool or prince? After all, folk heroes are different in our country
As it turned out, the Uzbeks in their state are not completely spoiled by cars. The entire fleet of the country is limited by few representatives of the model range of the local Uzdaewoo, as well as well -preserved trophies of the Soviet auto industry. All machines are white (non -fire and inexpensive). So, against the background of this homogeneous army, Renault Duster looked exquisite James Bond.
Already with visual acquaintance it is clear that the French tried to please the Russian consumer. According to them, 30% of the car parts for the Russian market was subjected to processing, redrawing, reconfigure and adaptation. Indeed, due to the modernization of design elements, Russian Duster looks much more respectable than its European counterparts. This applies to both the exterior, in the design of which chromium is abundantly used, and the salon, which was tilted so much that kinship with the one -platform Logan is difficult to read.
However, no matter how the French try to wrap the budget car into the gloss, the savings here are felt everywhere, and ergonomic errors make themselves felt. The ventilation control system here is the same as the Logan, not counting the modified pens that have become round. And then there is a serious miscalculation of engineers. Firstly, it is impossible to understand by the touch in what position they are, and secondly, it is not possible to visually read the information from the air flow control unit if you do not use overall lights. And when the light is turned on, you still have to strain vision. Fortunately, the windows control in Duster migrated from the central console, like the younger counterparts of Sandero and Logan, on the internal door panels this is more familiar to us. There is no question of backlighting and car carriers. The buttons to turn on the heating of the front seats remained in the previous French place between the seat pillow and the door. In the same place, between the seats, there was an electroregulation of mirrors, blocked by a hand brake lever.
Settings in height of the driver's seat and steering column, as well as heating the front seats and leather upholstery of seats in Duster options for the most advanced versions. Unlike the younger counterparts of Sandero and Logan, Duster is equipped with a stepped adjustment of the back of the back. In general, a driver’s landing can hardly be called a comfortable pillow, and there is no need to talk about lateral support here. For the rear passengers, the place is enough, but the knees will inevitably be destined to be located in terms of the front seat in terms of the front seat.
It is noteworthy that the trunk volume in Duster directly depends on the transmission. In the front -wheel drive, it is more spacious 475/1636 liters. At all -wheel drive, it was reduced to 408/1570 liters. Under the floor of the luggage compartment, a full -size reserve and organizer are placed.
And now about the main thing. Along with the price, the main trump card of this hero suspension: energy -intensive, long -term and, imagine, comfortable. Renault Duster digested pits, bumps, bumps of ugly Uzbek roads unconditionally. In order to get used to the behavior of the suspension on a broken coating, it will not take much time, but then you can forget about the relief of the road under the wheels.
Renault Duster has excellent geometric cross -country ability. In general, the off -road potential of the crossover is impressive: 21 cm of a road clearance, short body overhangs, a three -mode full -end transmission with an electromagnetic coupling for transmitting traction to the rear axle, distributing a torque or forcibly blocking at a speed of up to 80 km/h and even a budget analogue lowering gear. The basic equipment includes steel protection, so you can not worry about the engine and an off -road gearbox. But the chrome lining under the front bumper is made of plastic, which is easy to scratch.
Conducted in the Doster and steering. Even if on a straight trajectory, the steering wheel is a little empty, in corners the helm of the helm is adequate and understandable. By the way, with strong rolls, with sharp restructuring, it does not give a daste, so in general the settings are optimal.
I must say that Duster, even in the monotive version, which is both easier, more economical and cheaper (449,000 rubles), will be a decent warrior in the conditions of snowdrifts of the Central Russian winter. Imitation of a low-haired first gear, even with a calm 1.6-liter engine, makes it possible to storm such slopes that you are just amazed just a monster. The car, which added in weight compared to Sandero as much as 236 kg, is enough for the eyes of the same hundreds of horses. Personal dynamics is ensured by the shortened series of the first four gears. That's what the French did not cope with is the level of sound insulation. In the cabin, the engine sing loudly, and a drum fraction of stones comes from the wheeled arches.
A two -liter gasoline engine F4R (135 hp) will be installed only on the Russian daster. Although the engine is not new, it is unpretentious, eats 92nd gasoline, and certainly there will be no problems with its repair. In addition to two Duster gasoline units, 90 liters will also be equipped with a half -liter turbodiesel. With. Prices for the diesel version start with 607,000 rubles. By the way, for some reason, only monopodian dusters are equipped with an automatic machine in the city, but, as they certify in Renault, this is temporary.
I dare to assume that the chances of winning the hearts of residents of remote bear corners of Russia, where Soviet asphalt reigns, soil roads and virgin lands, have plenty of Daster. In this crossover, at an average price of half a million and with such impressive running qualities, there is everything to confidently plow the small homeland with the usual routes. With small minuses in the field of comfort, it is 100% adapted to our bottomless and unpredictable province. So the Uzbek acquaintance with Renault Duster suggests that he will pass over the hero of our folklore. Even if this Jean is not quite a prince, then certainly not a fool. In short, Hush Habar!
