Yes, of course, they are based on cars of different generations, but why is the quality of assembly and decoration so different? Most likely, this is explained by the fact that Samand was originally designed for the domestic market (Iran Khodro in Iran is a monopolist), and 206 Sedan was immediately made with the aim for export. The world premiere of this car took a long time at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show, the production began in July 2006, and the car got to us with a half-year late.
At one time, the Peugeot 206 hatchback was called the most elegant European car and, of course, many were afraid that a separate trunk would mutilate the car, as Renault Clio was mutilated. This did not happen. No, the elegance was not increased, but the complex shape of the cover (in the spirit of the flagship 607) and the rear lights saved the situation. True, adding 35 cm of length and leaving the previous base, the designers weighted the silhouette.
For the one who at least once sat in the Peugeot 206 hatchback, there will be nothing new in the sedan, the same ergonomics with soft chairs and insufficient lumbar subpoen, the same incredible arrangement of the glasses between the seats, the same magnificent steering wheel, and the same tight rear places . Everything was started for a separate trunk, and it increased by 150 liters in comparison with the hatchback. The figure is impressive only at first glance, the useful volume has grown to 398 liters, not so much, when compared with Fiat or Samand, but the inheritance from the hatchback sedan got a folding back of the rear seat, and now you can already load quite a lot.
The only ergonomic difference from the hatchback in visibility, the wide rear racks and small mirrors leave decent blind zones, and in the bend it is necessary to turn his head intensively so that nothing arrives from there.
On the Peugeot 206 Sedan two engines are installed: 1.4-liter (75 hp) and 1.6-liter (102 hp), the latter can be equipped with both 5-speed mechanics and a 4-speed automatic ( Tiptronic System Porsche). We got just such a copy. This is not to say that he delights some thoughtfulness to be a place, but everything saves the manual transmission mode. For especially gifted, there are two more special sport and winter modes. As a result, the machine really provides dynamic movement both around the city and on the highway.
Peugeot cars have always been famous for their handling, and 206 Sedan is no exception, it only loses a little hatchback due to the changed weight and less hard body. An empty car also loses in comfort: there are more rigid springs from the 206 SW station wagon, and maximum comfort is achieved by loading a pair of suitcases. At high speeds, a fully loaded machine allows the suspension breakdown when passing hard irregularities.
Of all the participants in the Peugeot 206 Sedan test, it is perceived as the most interesting car, but it is also the most expensive: in a top -end configuration with a metallic of 470 thousand rubles, which is already difficult to call a budget purchase.
Male body and feminine appearance are a clear contradiction.
The terrible beauty power makes us attribute 206 Sedan to the class of female cars, but why then such a large separate trunk?
One of the obvious minuses is visibility, the rear racks are too wide, and the mirrors are small.
Management, only a little worse than that of the hatchback due to the changed weightlifting and a slightly less hard body.
The whole ranger in length got the trunk, the base remained the same and, as a result, the rear seats are as close as in the hatchback.
