Opel Vectra 2.2 /8500 km

The car is bought to drive it. Having rolled 8500 km, we decided to write how Vectra is going.
The first sensation is deceptive. At first, I admit, Vectra disappointed. It seemed that the engine is two-and-two for a car with an automatic box and a equipped mass of 1,500 kg is clearly not enough. That is, Vectra accelerated, but did it with obvious reluctance.
But the fuel consumption was pleased - within 13 liters. For the period of the running -in, let it go with significant runs along the highway, this is not bad. Later appetites grew up. In November-December, the city’s trips were reduced to a minimum: more and more in the city, in traffic jams, low speed over low distances. A hundred began to go up to 16 liters. Of course, there should be a discount on the honesty of Moscow tankers, who still easily fill the car that reached the gas station with their own strokes, more than theoretically can fit in the fuel tank.
+/- At the same time it is clear that the Germans tried to teach the car to save fuel. Sometimes it annoys. If you are calmly driving around the city and slightly pedaling the accelerator, then at a speed of 60 km/h the box switches to the fifth gear. This is easy to check: it is enough to download the selector into manual mode, as in the window on the instrument shield, the desired number is highlighted - 5. At the same time - about 1,500, and the torque, you understand, is not monstrous. This means that for more or less significant acceleration, you have to use the KIK Dawn mode-then the car will think a little, a little twitching and pulnet. If the fourth gear corresponded to this speed, the car would softly and calmly accelerated without flickering. For you, fools, the manual regime is provided,-will notice some well-read wise guy. Provided. However, he, this manual regime, unfortunately, suffers from traditional shortcomings: he is very thoughtful, that is, he encloses the transmission with a delay when it is no longer necessary, and does not allow the tachometer to drive the tachometer closer to the red zone, that is, to leave, say, from the fifth transmission On the third. Yes, what is there: a step below does not always manage to sink as fast as you want. But there is another Fenya: in manual mode, you can turn on the fourth gear on the spot and move off it!
Even from observations: in manual mode, the programs themselves do not switch, but down, with a sharp press on the gas pedal, without problems: this is an elementary security requirement. The user accustomed to the machine may well get confused. And sometimes it is necessary to accelerate sharply.
By the way, it was experimentally clarified: the maximum acceleration - for example, for quick overtaking in the oncoming lane - is achieved not at all with a handle with a handle, but with a simple press of the gas pedal in the floor. The car itself will realize what feat he is capable of in this situation, and he will do everything in the best possible way.
But the main thing is not this. Over time, the car rolled out. She really began to go much better - both faster and more confident. Maybe the automatic transmission was adapted. She seems to be able to adapt to different driving styles in the vector. The instructions say about sports style, economical and special conditions - for example, about riding and descents.
In general, now there are almost no comments left. The capacity in the city is enough for the eyes, and it seems that the declared 10.8 seconds of acceleration to 100 km/h Vectra honestly practices.
Although no, one miscalculation is still evident: well, there is not enough box for the sports regime so that it does not switch to the fifth gear at 60 km/h. By the way, other manufacturers do not see anything wrong with the manual automatic automatic transmission mode automatic sports. Thus, which is marked by Litera S.
+/- Vectra- the car is quite tough. At first it is surprising. But it does not bother. That's just lying policemen takes a car close to heart: no, it does not break the suspension, but just the opposite - it clearly addresses the irregularities to the fifth point. Well, sometimes it creaks. The service says that there is no crime in the creak: they say, this is a voice of a bag of a package for the bad roads that Russian vetera is supplied. Sorry, supplied as a standard kit. In our car, from summer delivery, he was. In the fall, with the beginning of the new model year, the bad road was expelled from the base. Together with hard springs and crankcase protection. Now this is an option at $ 170.

+/- At the end of November, Vectra changed into the studded Continental Winterviking 1. They recorded tires in advance. Replaced rubber - and the road is dry! And the car behaves at a speed of over 80 km/h somehow strange: there was a certain swivel, which was not observed behind the vector-it flew along the road like an arrow. I even had to stop, get out of the car to see, maybe the tires were put in the wrong place?! No, everything turned out to be true.
Rubber rehabilitated itself during the first snowfall. It was not even necessary to include the winter mode on the box - Vectra rode like a tank.
+/- The anti-operating system on the vector does not turn off. No, its very presence is good. But was it really so difficult to put the ESP OFF button? There was a case: Vectra was dying on a crossed rural road, where you won’t catch a tractor, threshes wheels, cannot get out. So I wanted to give gas, saying, well, come, dear, went, and instead, a metal shkryaban and revolutions no higher than 2000. Maybe it is necessary-in the end she left! “But I want to try it myself.” Or at least know that the car will make it possible to experience strength. So nice when at least someone believes in you!
