The updated Opel Corsa did not cause the public delight. No wonder: outside the model has changed only in the nuances.
 
In front, modern, more expressive transparent headlights and a radiator grille appeared, which - in the spirit of the new corporate image of Opel - is decorated with a massive chrome lining. In the back, tinted sprouts and foglights, as if sliding to the lower edge of the bumper, attract attention from behind.
 
There are even fewer changes in the cabin: the new upholstery of seats and another, darker, plastic, which is trimmed with the central console. But the main thing is the new steering wheel, which is installed on COSMO CRASE in the COSMO configuration: the steering wheel has acquired leather outline, girling rim. Both form and friction properties deserve the flattering assessment itself. In addition, there are music control keys on the steering wheel (though they are not included in the standard).
 
By the way, the options for configuration have changed slightly and received other names - Essentia, Enjoy and Cosmo. The latter just includes a leather steering wheel, new headlights, 15-inch steel disks.

The 1.4-liter engine is a completely new power unit from the recently appeared Twinport family. In terms of characteristics, it almost completely repeats its predecessor, but efficiency and environmental friendliness are significantly improved due to the system of changing the length of the intake tract and exhaust gas recirculation.
 
Any of the engines is available in pair either with a mechanical KP, or with an EasyTronic robotic mechanics that can perform the functions of an automaton. It seemed to us that when switching Easytronic is slightly nervous, which is why the car twitches.
 
A familiar 1.2-liter engine of the EcoteC family does not spoil the furrow and, most importantly, does not get stuck in a slightly thoughtful transmission. Even with small deviations of the steering wheel from the zero zone, a tangible increase in reactive effort is felt. It even seemed that the new car reacts more acutely to the steering wheel than last year - apparently, this is the merit of low -profile wheels on 15 -inch discs, which are included in Cosmo. They were the reason that the machine was significantly blackened - all the anomalies of the asphalt are transmitted to the driver's receptors.
 
Two engines and two transmission options are all that the Russian buyer can count on. Meanwhile, at home, the assortment of power plants for Corsa is more than extensive: four gasoline engines with a volume of 1.0 to 1.8 liters and two turbodiesel. In Russia, in addition, the list of options is deprived of essential points as xenon headlights and ESP. Well, it seems that we were left without sweets!
