Tiida at a price stood on the step above the Almera Classic sedan, although formally it has similar dimensions. Is it worth overpaying?
The head of the Renault-Nissan alliance Carlos Gon, without a doubt, is a brilliant person. In 1999, he accepted the Nissan on the verge of bankruptcy, and several years later, the company led by him became one of the most profitable in the automotive industry. All forces, image and sports, but tangible machines were discontinued from production were thrown to fight costs: no racing series or sports teams only highly reliable models. The very ones for which the buyer wants to pay more than they actually cost. First of all, this category includes any SUVs from SUV to pickups, but we must not forget about cars.
How to achieve this? The question is quite complicated, but let's see how it was allowed in Nissan itself. Our Tiida sedan today is one of the best samples of economic art. The golf class has recently been an incredibly competitive environment, and it is almost impossible to achieve good profitability in it. Car prices are very close, and buyers with a calculator verify where they will receive more horses, pillows and other electronic fillings for each paid dollar or ruble. It is no secret that many brands play golf, first of all for the sake of prestige and title, the best -selling car in the classroom, while in the best case they manage to go to zero: losses in this sector are not completely uncommon.
Understanding this, the Nissan marketyls shifted a little from the golf-class upstairs (appreciate the height of the body), and the equipment picked up the standing one. Already in the basic configuration of Comfort, a central castle with DU, four airbags, air conditioning, anterior seats, an electric package and a radio tape recorder with control on the steering wheel and a built -in Hands Free by the Bluetooth headset are offered. And in the sedan’s test drive, which we have taken by Elegance, you can even find incredible cartoons that almost none of the competitors: a chip key for contactless access to the salon and launching the motor, rain and light sensors and even folding mirrors. But there is also a version of Tekna with a leather salon and a cruise control. In technical terms, no revelations are a 1.6-liter motor and a 4-speed machine. At the same time, the price of such a packaged machine is quite average 570 900 rubles. So then what is the catch, where is the vaunted savings? Let's try to look for it ...
It seems that Tiida began to reduce the costs of Tiida at the stage of designing the machine and primarily reduced the designer. As if some kind of three-tire student raised his nose from the Nissan Murano to the massive pro-American front bumper, and the trunk lid brought the lid in the back. Maybe, of course, all the felt -tip pens are different for taste and color, but I sincerely want to look into the eyes of a person who will consider the design of Tiida at least pretty, not to mention the beautiful.
In some details, you can find grace, but the car as a whole looks very doubtful, especially with the sedan body. If you look closely, then in Tiida you can find a resemblance to Renault Logan, which, by the way, was also created according to the idea of \u200b\u200bCarlos Gon, so it is probably not accidental. Here are just the prices for Nissan Tiida twice as high as for Logan.
The salon causes less negative emotions, it is simply boring. Medium quality plastic, a steering wheel devoid of leather braid (for a personalized, but in such an advanced configuration and at such a price, this is a drawback), three rounds on the instrument panel with branded yellow-orange backlight. At the same time, as in many others, Nissan attracts the thoughtfulness of the interior to the smallest detail. Here the closing department on the central console here is convenient to hide a mobile phone from prying eyes, especially since in the case of a call, it is not necessary to get it to Bluetooth headset is already built into the radio. The engine starts with a lamb on a steering column that imitates the usual key, while the chip key itself calmly lies in the pocket. For ahead, four cup holders are provided and two more for the rear. But on the convenience of planting the driver in Tiida, it seems that they have saved decently. The steering wheel is regulated only in height and it is located in such a way that during normal planting, it has to be stretched. I don’t argue, there are a lot of drivers who hold the steering wheel with outstretched hands, but you get tired so quickly, and the control of the machine is incomplete. The quality of plastic is even more impressive, it is soft only in those places where you can reach it with your hand without looking up from the back of the chair. All other panels look the same, but tough to the touch.
The trunk turned out to be unexpectedly a huge low floor level, under which, meanwhile, a full -size reserve is hiding, and provided an impressive volume of 467 liters. Still to make a larger trunk, but behind this, it is not very convenient to load volumetric things from the sedan to the hatchback. Unlike a logg, the back of the rear seat folds in parts, but on the floor it turns out a significant step.
After a very dubious design, the question arises reasonably and did the developers save on running qualities? As they say, the key is. A 1.6-liter motor produces 110 hp. And paired with a 4-speed automatic vehicle gives Tiida a very confident dynamics. You do not expect such agility from such a simple power unit at all. The automatic machine softly and at the same time briskly switches the gears: both up and down. And you do not regret at all about the absence of a manual switching mode. For overtaking or for even greater renunciation, you can turn off an overhead of the key on the machine gun selector, and in the remaining three programs Tiida will not give offense either himself or the driver. And only outside the city, motor deficiency makes itself felt after 120 km/h accelerated the sedan is already reluctant, which is completely expected for the engine of this volume. Meanwhile, patience, the speedometer arrow can be driven to almost 200 km/h, although according to passport data the maximum speed is 170 km/h. Either the wind was fair, or the speedometer is not moderately optimistic.
The steering wheel amplifier works for the motor for accurately and a little sports. There is always a sane reactive force on the steering wheel. Even in the parking lot, when the steering wheel is as easy as possible, there is no feeling that the wheels rotate in the air. It is also convenient that the steering wheel itself quickly returns to the zero position. The suspension is rather comfortable than sporty in turns the high body is significantly cracked, but the force on the steering wheel helps the driver and inspires confidence in the control of the machine. Confidence is also important because in Tiida there is neither an anti -boom nor a contrast system, one has to rely only on its own strength and in a very critical situation on ABS and six airbags. Frankly, taking the car on a test drive, I was full of skepticism. 23,000 dollars for, to put it mildly, a ugly golf-class car with mediocre technical characteristics. After my opinion about Tiida’s running qualities improved markedly and the sedan is controlled almost in the same way as his younger brother Nissan Note, which I almost bought a year ago. And now, if one of my friends is thinking about choosing a middle-class family car, I will gladly advise them Note or Ford C-Max. As for Tiida, I personally do not like it to taste and color. Those who like the sedan can buy it without hesitation, the car costs their money, as Carlos Gon promised!
