Of the two engines, 1.6-liter is clearly preferable. It is quite powerful, acceptable in price and the only one with which the automatic transmission is possible. The hatchback is definitely more interesting. In its swimming rear lights there is even a hint of style, and the absence of a separate trunk visually conceals the disproportionality of forms. And yet, in general, against the background of cars made in Europe or for Europe, the tiid looks alien like a pagoda next to the Catholic Church.
In fact, Nissan designers are not guilty of anything. Look at the Japanese automobile catalogs. Many models for the domestic market handsome are worse than tiida-sedan. But if they are bought, then the Japanese find such cars attractive. It’s just that in the east and west the concepts of beauty are very different. And if you go with your charter to a foreign monastery, be prepared for the fact that you may not understand.
But from a practical point of view, the height of a car of 1525 mm has undeniable advantages. In terms of geometry and ease of planting, the tiid is close to compactwane. And this is the first thing that it is favorably different from the almer, which you sit in, as if you are falling on the floor.
An even more pleasant surprise for the owner of Almer will be the space of the salon. If the rear sofa has a real trap in your previous car, now passengers can feel like VIP-punches. In terms of the stock of space in the legs and above the head of the tiid, even the Corolla and the 4-door Megan, which, before its appearance, were considered the most hospitable in golf class. True, in the sedan the back of the sofa is too littered. Passengers will like the hatchback more, in which it can be installed more vertically.

But when you try to sit back, the three of you begin to understand why the tiida looks so disproportionate. The car is not only high, but also narrow only 1695 mm (again the specifics of the Japanese market). By the level of decoration, the tiid on the head exceeds the almer: strict design, modern materials. Although it is too early to draw conclusions. After all, the car is produced at the Nissan Mexican factory, whose reputation is not known for us yet.
Behind the wheel
The tiaid is radically different from Almere with a high stool planting. Of all competitors, perhaps only Auris offers the same pronounced minivan geometry. The seat seems to be good in profile and density of stuffing, but for some reason there is no feeling of comfort. Each of us fidgeted in an armchair and took several times by the handles of adjustments, trying to get comfortable.
But not enough for people above 185 cm, the range of longitudinal movement of the seat and the absence of adjustment by departure of the rudder too covered forward. So before buying a car, it is preferably to try on the go.
In addition, the complaints were caused by an unsuccessfully located computer switch button, the climate control display brushes (the same as on Micre and the laptop), as well as a contactless ignition key. To turn it into the OFF position, you have to press a tight button next to the lock. In general, there are shortcomings for ergonomics in the tiid.
But I really liked the easily readable tidy and convenient to control the radio with a built -in telephone set of blueters. If your pipe supports this protocol, it is enough to introduce it to the car, and conversations on the way will no longer be distracted from the road.
Good and visibility. Thanks to huge mirrors, high landing and large glazing area in a dense stream, you feel quite confident. Although the rear parking sensors in the city crowding, of course, will not hurt.

In total, with two tiaid safety pillows, it is quite good, at the level of European 4 stars, she protected the driver and passenger with front and lateral strikes. In our country, it is offered with at least 4 pillows (front and front side), and starting with the configuration of Eleans, window curtains are also added. The fact that Nissan in Russia does not save on security is certainly pleasant.
Children can be transported in armchairs both with conventional mounts and with isofixes. The front passenger Air Bag is disconnected, which allows you to install the children's chairs of groups 0 and 0+ in front, deployed forward.
On the roads
A car was built on a common platform with a laptop, and in sled habits this blood relationship is recognized immediately. A clear, albeit slightly synthetic force on the steering wheel. There are no special complaints about drilling comfort. Not bad for golf class noise insulation is surrendered only under the pressure of a 1.6-liter engine, which after 3,500 revolutions clearly takes a solo batch. And the smoothness of the course is completely eager to praise. The engineers managed to find the optimal balance between the energy intensity and the comfort of the suspension, although the tiid is still worse than the laptop. And her brakes are too sensitive, which at first requires addiction.
But if the laptop by the standards of Mikroven is just riding, then his sister, with similar sled habits, deserves only the grades well. For a passenger car, she has great rolls in corners and the nature of controllability is fresh. The car on the go is comfortable, adequate, but without the spark of God inherent in the best representatives of the golf class.
Now about the engine. The 110-horsepower engine is very good for its volume of 1.6 liters, it is confidently lucky from the bottom and briskly spins up to the limiter, which triggers at about 6700 rpm. In a word, the engine capabilities are enough with any box. And if the mechanics can still be blamed for excessively stretched gear rates, which slightly dulls the feeling of dynamics, then the machine operates just fine.
But the 1.8-liter unit, oddly enough, liked less. Even with a rapprocheted 6-speed box, he is in no hurry to give out an additional 16 power forces and 2 kilos of torque. Compared to one and six, of course, there is a difference. But it is not so noticeable that overpayment is 26,000 rubles. was unequivocally justified.
But most importantly, the 1.8-liter version is worse than the chassis. A more rigid suspension is strangely combined with softer elastokinematics of the rear beam. As a result, the smoothness of the course is already bordering on discomfort, but this does not make the car more collected. On the contrary, the food wags at every bump, which makes you constantly stealing both a high -speed line and in corners. No, the tiid must be taken with a 1.6-liter engine.

True, Nissan's spare parts are really very expensive. But if the car is insured according to autocasco, in the next 23 years, large details for your money are unlikely to have to, and the cost of brake pads and disks will definitely not ruin you.

At the same time, its main advantages are the smoothness of the course (with a 1.6 engine) and a spacious salon behind. The rest of the car is fresh and too Japanese. The model, focused on the Asian market, largely loses to the analogues created with the sight of Europe.
