Test drive Nissan Tiida (Versa) Sedan since 2006 sedan

Practicality in everything

The name Tiida comes from the Japanese dialect word and means an eternally variable tide. For the price, the novelty occupies an intermediate place between Note and Qashqai and will be able to interest buyers aimed at acquiring more traditional cars.

The manufacturer Tiida offers two body options: a four -door sedan and a five -door hatchback. This is a modern variation of the traditional division of the volume of the machine into three functional parts. The car is equipped with two gasoline engines to choose from, their power is 81 kW/110 liters. With. (volume of 1.6 l) and 93 kW/126 l. With. (1.8 l).

The version with a 1.8-liter engine is traditionally equipped with a six-speed mechanical transmission, while modifications equipped with a 1.6-liter power unit are offered with a four-speed automatic or five-speed mechanical gearbox.

Having three options for finishing and additional equipment to choose from, the Tiida model is designed for customers, for whom the comfort, quality and spaciousness of the salon are important primarily. However, lovers of active driving will also be able to evaluate this machine, because it is built on the B-class platform and the design of the chassis is the same as the dynamic Note.

Tiida target audience can be divided into three clear groups. The first includes loyal buyers of Almera and Primera, who are impressed by the traditional reliability and ratio of the cost and quality of Nissan cars. The second group is made up of customers who previously prefer other models from this segment and appreciate primarily comfort and quality. And finally, the third group includes owners of class D cars, consciously choosing a more compact vehicle with a relatively comfortable and spacious interior.

The latter can count on another plus Tiida: despite the fact that its total length corresponds to the characteristics of class C, a long (2603 mm) base provides an internal volume, comparable (if not larger) with similar indicators inherent in many competitors from class D.

After analyzing the needs and expectations of customers, Nissan engineers did everything possible to make Tiida as comfortable as possible in everyday use. Wide doorways, large door opening angles and the best organization of space compared to other classmates at the level of the driver and passengers, provide maximum convenience of planting and landing from the machine. Even Tiida seats are wider than typical representatives of its class.

If we draw an analogy between cars of the same class, then Tiida boasts one of the most spacious salons. This was achieved due to the increase in space at the head level of the driver and passengers, as well as the expansion of the possibilities for storing baggage in the best traditions of the Nissan brand. The rear compartment of the sedan with a volume of 467 liters is also one of the largest and can be compared in capacity with the trunk of some larger cars.

The version of the hatchback body has additional advantages in the form of longitudinal adjustment of the rear seats. They can be shifted 240 mm forward or backward to increase the useful cargo space or the legs of the rear passengers.

The list of standard and additional equipment for machines supplied to the Russian market does not differ from the characteristics of more adult competitors. It includes climate control, leather finish of the cabin, automatic inclusion of wipers and headlights, a CD magnet with the Bluetooth system. The necessary level of safety is ensured by ABS with an emergency braking system, four airbags and additional side safety curtains, depending on the version.

The assembly of models intended for the European market is carried out at the Nissan factory in the city of Sivak (Mexico). Tiida is also produced in Japan and Thailand.

Tiida is offered in those markets where the demand for models of this class is high. These include the Baltic countries, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Malta, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

In Russia, the prices for Tiida vary from 499.9 to 609.5 thousand rubles. Depending on the configuration.

The desire of the designers to create something unusual in the field of automobile design does not always find support from consumers. Among them there are traditionalists and even conservatives who need a spacious and comfortable machine, which has a calm appearance. The TIIDA model meets these requirements.
