Yes, the alphanumeric-digital NP-300 is no longer as menacing as Navara. He smacks of treasury and utilitarianism. And on the other hand, what else should smell of an ordinary truck. Indeed, in fact, the Nissan NP-300 is a truck, albeit a small one, but with a real all-wheel drive. And people aimed at acquiring it should clearly understand this. Behind the harsh appearance of the pickup, no less severe filling is hidden, the main purpose of which is to deliver you and your cargo from point A to point B with a minimum of comfort and maximum practicality. However, about a minimum of comfort, we, of course, bent. Despite the anterior independent torsion and rear dependent spring suspension, the NP-300 turned out to be well adapted both to driving around the crossed terrain and ordinary daily asphalt trips.
Our acquaintance with the car began in the parking lot of the dealer. In anticipation of the test drive, the NP-300 engine threshed at increased speeds, spreading the specific sound of an unheard of diesel in the district. Typically, diesel engines have idle speeds smaller, and here thousands are one and a half, no less.
The solidification of an extraordinary phenomenon was waiting for us in the salon. For the sake of quickly heating the engine, engineers provided a car with a special key, which raised the engine speed to such unusual heights. The solution is how non -trivial is so controversial. On the one hand, of course, it is nice when the engine quickly reaches the operating temperature. And on the other hand, it is known from experience that you can quickly warm up the diesel engine only under load, that is, in movement. Which, in fact, was subsequently confirmed. No matter how he voted, but he entered the operating mode only after we drove 57 kilometers. By the way, after that the noise from the engine was much smaller, and only a slight part penetrated into the salon.
In general, if we talk about the noise penetrating the car interior, then by this indicator it can be safely compared with cars. And the salon itself is quite comparable to them both in comfort and in equipment. Of course, the high floor, due to the presence of a frame, makes a slight discomfort, but this happens only at first, and then you get used to low seats. But what you can’t get used to is the inconvenience of landing on the back row. Each time our Bild editor sat down or crawled out from the second row, he always remembered the engineers with a strong word. Yes, and here's another. Be prepared for the fact that when you find yourself in the Nissan NP-300 salon, you seem to be transferred to decades ago: the interior design is modern in the mid-90s.
However, all the inconveniences that were discussed above quickly go into the background as soon as you touch the car on the road. Despite your dimensions and inappropriate suspension to deliver true pleasure from control, you can move to NP-300 on public roads without much stress. A 2.5 -lidal turbodiesel quite easily accelerates almost two tons of equipped mass, and also allows you to easily maintain a high pace of movement. By the way, the characteristics of the turbine are selected so that its presence on the machine is practically not felt, and the engine pulls exactly at all at any speed. As for the maximum torque, it becomes available from 2000 revolutions. Steering and steering also upset us. The reactions to the actions of the driver, of course, are not lightning fast, but you can’t call them frankly delay. In general, everything is within a reasonable framework with an eye on the design features and purpose.
The field of the tractors is not a place to check the purpose of the machine. Seeing the first convenient congress from the road, we are heading to him. A slope with a steep slope is the best suited in order to make sure of the correct clearance and front and rear overhangs of the car. The transmission of the transmission elections holds position 4H, and we literally fall off the road into the ditch, blocking us the path to further adventures. Well, this test of the pickup has passed without hesitation. And what about the traction? The self -locking rear differential does not stand aloof from this action, both wheels hammer with full dedication. In general, the Nissan NP-300 coped with this task without problems. It remained only to check the carrying capacity. However, we had nothing suitable at hand, weighing a ton, in connection with which we decided to trust the manufacturer. The ton is so ton, in the end, they did not deceive in other indicators.

undoubtedly, the Nissan NP-300 will find its customers, because in terms of price ratio, it is just at the level of its direct competitors. Yes, his salon is not so sophisticated as it could be. Yes, it is not so comfortable because of a specific cargo suspension, but he is able to drive where many even will not be chopped, and take as much as many as many did not dream of.
