The second -generation car, like the predecessor, is designed primarily for the requests of the Americans, but we are largely similar to them. How much? I found out Sergey Kanunnikov.
Even in resort towns on the coast of the Atlantic, where fashionable villas and expensive hotels shine surrounded by palm trees, they look at a high, impressive car with some surprise. Here, in Portugal, there are such a rarity, but on the opposite bank of the ocean they are sold tens of thousands, and in Russia they will take it willingly.
Looks like itself
Although the car is called completely new, it is not difficult to recognize the family traits of Murano, of course,. The same aggressive-dynamic appearance, reinforced by narrowed headlights, is high planting. In a brilliant radiator grille, the grin was changed, but not shape. In design, fortunately, they left the main thing: swiftness and even a certain grace that is uncharacteristic for most modern parquet all -terrain vehicles. They, as a rule, want to seem more formidable and even rude than there are real all -terrain vehicles than they really are. Murano, rather, seeks to at least a little like a muscular, but slender athlete.
Where significant is the change in the cabin. The first-generation car in status and price did not really correspond to the instrument panel with its gaping-youthful style. Now bright cute devices in a more conservative, logical design. And the rest of the salon will not disappoint fans of serious goodness and calm judgment. The seats will delight owners of magnificent forms who do not love to be constrained. I would like to, neglecting professional rules, imposingly to leaf the right elbow on the armrest and slowly roll under the palm trees.
Excess and disadvantages
I had to ride the previous generation Murano (ZR, 2007, No. 3). Then the 234-horsepower 3.5-liter motor appeared to be the most striking dignity, vigorously, with a spark of pairs with a vast transmission. This property is even brighter, more noticeable in a second -generation car, which has become more powerful. Smooth acceleration without jerks and horseshoes is comparable to trolleybus if the horned is equipped with a motor of forces at 700. Murano easily shoots not only from the place, but also when the speedometer is already 7080 km/h. Overtaking is so easy that at some point they inspire a sense of omnipotence, especially since the brakes restrain the car with a equipped mass of more than 1800 kg confidently and convincingly.
But the feeling of permissiveness is not the best assistant driver, especially in a car intended primarily for the American market. A calm steering wheel does not strain with a measured highway and leisurely urban ride, but it is worth increasing the speed. It requires increased attention. Murano reacts to the movement of the bagel with delay and enters the turn with a noticeable, albeit uncritical roll. This is outraged by a comfortable, rather soft suspension, sharpened under completely different modes of movement. In a protracted turn, the trajectory sometimes has to be nervously adjusted: the connection between the steering wheel and wheels is blurred. Before turning, it was worth taking a closer look at the speedometer!
No, fun with the energetic, on the verge of the bends permitted by the passage of the turns is not his, not Muranovo Credo. It is good in direct highlights, which are visible almost a dozen kilometers. A comfortable suspension works perfectly here, a powerful engine pulls with a huge margin. Here, the driver and passengers will appreciate good sound insulation. However, Nissan and I, perhaps, will take the prize in another discipline.
There are ordinary passenger cars of the Portuguese fishermen. The fanatics of hooks and spinners only drove a little from a narrow highway, and went to the ocean, preferring not to risk on a rocky, uneven road laid with rare all -wheel drivers with a large road clearance. Murano, cheerfully slapping with wide and high wheels along the pebbles, then diving into the groove, then popping up to an elevation, rolls to the edge of the ocean much closer than the fishermen could afford. Their interested views reward an all -wheel drive Nissan.
However, the interest of the Western Europeans in Murano, as a rule, is still suspended. Too much need to catch and sell fish to buy, and then feed such a car with high-octane gasoline. How much the new Murano will cost in Russia is not yet known. Together with the fans of the model, I hope that a little more than the previous one.
The second generation Murano is a direct heir to the car, who has already gained a good reputation, who retained the most characteristic features of the predecessor. The strengths of the finish quality, the dynamics manifested even more, the shortcomings did not become more clearly. Also good
