The first test drive of the most affordable Nissan in Russia.Having replaced the familiar almera with Korean Classic in 2006, Nissan unobtrusively designated the Almera model development vector for the Russian market: only a sedan and only budget. In 2012, Nissan went even further. Now Almera moved from the golf class to the compact class B, but remained a sedan.
The new Almera car, invented specifically for Russia and Belarus. Nissan marketers also consider the possibility of exporting the sedan also to Ukraine, but so far it has not been made a final decision. But it is important that we are talking about export, because all almers will be produced at the Volga Automobile Plant in Togliatti.
It is unlikely that it would occur to anyone to call Nissan Almera a handsome man. Rather, this is a friendly cartoon on Nissan Teana.
Formally, having borrowed both the chassis and units (albeit in a slightly modernized form) from Logan, Almera moved to her new class B, where she will fight with Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio and VW Polo sedan super -popular in Russia. But earlier Almera performed in the same weight category and competed with golf class cars. Downshift?

But in fact, the new sedan has become even larger than Almera Classic: 4656 versus 4510 millimeters! The rather large wheelbase of Logan (2630 millimeters) was increased by another 70 millimeters to impressive 2700 millimeters. According to this parameter, Almera is able to compete with the most spacious sedans class higher: even Ford Focus for, for example, the wheelbase is smaller, and the new Nissan does not reach only 17 millimeters to the huge Peugeot 408!
In Nissan, such the dimensions of the wheeled base are called a new record in the classroom, and in practice they turn into an unprecedented for the segment into the margin of the legs of the rear passengers. Even behind a tall driver, there is so much space that can be played in a ping-pong: the distance between the back of the front seat and the rear pillow is 640 millimeters. This is 60 millimeters more than Logan, and 40 millimeters more than that of the VW Passat sedan from a prestigious class D.
In width, of course, not so free, but three adults fit. Moreover, a little worse than in the Teana business sedan.
The most unsuccessful angle for Nissan almera is certainly behind. It is so strongly that the fascinated back with the disappearingly small in the background of 15 -inch wheels is most noticeable.
And this is not the last ideological reference to Thean. The grille of the radiator of a small sedan is a reduced copy of the Tanovskaya, and by the number of chrome parts in the exterior and these are door handles, the trunk lid, the edging of the side windows of Almera, it seems to even overtake the older sister.
That's just neither beautiful nor even cute this car can not be called. Fluttered headlights, a high waist line, visually increasing large sides, massive feed, with sad headlights sliding down. And if the almera is still acceptable on the side, then in the angle of three quarters from behind when it becomes clear how narrow and, at the same time, the car turned out high, only a burned pragmatist will be able to fall in love with this sedan.
But if not by appearance, then what will the Japanese-Russian sedan Almera take our buyer? Maybe an interior?
It is clearly visible that under the bottom of ALMERA there are no protruding details: the motor compartment is closed with metal protection, and the brake and fuel trunks are hidden behind special overlays.
Anyone who at least once sat in the Logan salon will find many familiar details in the interior of Almers. The front panel, tidy, air ducts, windows on the central console and the mirror adjustment keys hidden under the handbrake are exactly like in Logan. Even the steering wheel is the same, only with the Nissan emblem. In general, according to the interior of Almera, it loses not only competitors from Korea (Solaris and Rio), but also a simple polo.
Interior
In the interior of Nissan Almera, almost all details are borrowed from Renault Logan. Differences - in new decoration materials, as well as in a different form of door upholstery.
Nissan Connect multimedia system with a five -inch touch screen option for 12 thousand rubles. This is half cheaper than competitors from South Korea.
The front seats are made in Russia. The chairs do not indulge in the number of adjustments or pronounced side support, but for an inexpensive car, quite good.
The interior of the most expensive TEKNA modification is noticeably reviving a two-dine radio (AM/FM tuner, CD player, Bluetooth, input AUX) or optionally replacing its Nissan Connect multimedia system with a five-inch color sensory screen, a USB-view and navigational in. Moreover, the Nissan Connect is very inexpensive only 12,000 rubles. It is a pity that it will only be available to customers of Almera in the top version.
Planting in Almer also copies Loganovskaya. The driver’s chair is located high, and the steering wheel is regulated only in height. But even despite the stinginess of the settings, it is convenient to sit, although high drivers will probably want to lower the seat lower.

After all, it would be possible to reduce its formal return on a couple of horses and please buyers with low transport tax
The choice of transmission is the same as Logan of a five -speed mechanics or a four -speed machine with a winter mode and the possibility of gearboxes manually.
Almera holds a good line and is not afraid of bad, more precisely, very bad roads
Nissan, of course, relies on the version of the version with an automaton. Firstly, because automatic transmission is traditionally popular in our market. Secondly, such a gearbox will be available from the average Comfort configuration, for which, according to marketers, will have almost 65-70 percent of the sedans sold.
Finally, the minimum price for Nissan Almera with an automatic machine (from 504,000 rubles) will be 20,000 rubles lower than they ask the leader of the Hyundai Solaris segment with a 1.6 engine (123 forces). But in fairness, it is worth noting that even a 1.4 -lit -free solaris motor (107 horsepower) is more powerful than the 1.6 -folly Almer aggregate, and the price of a Korean sedan with an automaton will be 10,000 rubles lower than the staffed Nissan.
Moreover, the Nissan Almera with an automatic machine is far from the most dynamic car in the classroom. From a place to 100 kilometers per hour, such a sedan accelerates for almost two seconds slower than a version of 12.7 seconds against 10.9 seconds. However, when moving, this handicap is not so noticeable. Perhaps the fault of this is not optimally selected gear rates in a mechanical gearbox. Yes, and a long -term, viscous transmission mechanism on the mechanics, too, can not be called pleasant.
Therefore, we definitely recommend the machine.
Although it is not fast and has only four steps, which makes the engine roar loudly when overtaking in second gear, but in the civilian regimes its switching is floodplain and predicted. Finally, it eliminates the need to wield an uncomfortable lever of mechanical transmission, and this is its main plus.
The mechanical gearbox on Almera did not like. The case when it is better to pay for the machine gun, even despite its slowness and the presence of only four steps.
But if the transmission went to Almer from Logan almost unchanged engineers only slightly reconfigured the software of the automatic checkpoint, then with the suspension they worked much more seriously. Structurally, it remained the previous MacPherson rack in front and a half -dependent beam from behind, but the springs and shock absorbers here are their own, with Nissan settings, which were optimized under a tougher (compared to the login) and an elongated body. The levers and most of the rubber -metal compounds were strengthened. In general, spare parts from Logan to Almer are no longer suitable.
And when driving, the difference with Logan is noticeable from the first meters. The all -working but not very assembled suspension of a French car, which can swallow the pit the size of a basketball on the move, has become more dense and it works quieter on Almer. Yes, Japanese settings made the car a little tougher, but the rolls in the bends are minimal, exchange rate stability at a height, and the overall impression is that you are driving on a more expensive car.
At the same time, it cannot be said that Almera is under -term. Vice versa! The Japanese sedan looks at Russian pits and spring thaws with neglect.
Almera’s handling is understandable, but could become more fun if the steering was made a little higher. After all, the suspension completely allows.
Almer does not notice the road trifle, and large potholes swallows with barely audible uhh and almost invisible fluctuations in unsaved masses. Fortunately, Nissan did not kill the legendary comfort of Logan, he simply brought her to a slightly different level, much more solid. It is only a pity that the steering does not correspond to a thoroughly configured suspension it is as long and empty as on the Logan. In any case, on winter tires Nokian Hakkapeliitta.
Far from the last question that is interested in any Russian buyer, road clearance. In Almers, he, of course, is not record (160 millimeters), but at full load, the clearance decreases by only 15 millimeters. In addition, all Russian -made vehicles are regularly equipped with a two -millimeter metal protection of the motor compartment.
It may also be very useful in our conditions that all brake and fuel hoses (tubes) are hidden under protective metal plates. Well, of course, you can’t miss an unprecedented 64 -liner gas tank in the class, which allows you to safely go to Dalnyak, without even thinking about a spare canister.
So if we talk purely about the practical side, the Nissan Almera sedan came out exactly the way Russian customers need it: inexpensive, comfortable, simple, but in chromium. This car will allow a person with a monthly income for a family of about 35-40 thousand rubles, namely, the Nissanists see them among Almera’s buyers to please themselves with all the benefits that are usually available only to owners of much more expensive cars: traveling through the navigator, breathing through air conditioning, loading a 500-liter to the top of the air The trunk and go to distant (and not so) travels without risk of shaking the suspension in the middle of the journey.
The only difference is that ALMERA allows you to do all this for much less money and with less cost of ownership.
The luggage compartment of the Nissan Almera can accommodate 500 liters of luggage. The back of the rear seat does not fold, a hatch for long -termers is not provided. But the same is offered to the buyers of Logan, and even Solaris, so why Almera? There is no definite answer to this question yet. The Russian market of budget sedans is still far from saturation, and each new player in this segment is trying to captivate the buyer with something: the largest trunk, the most spacious salon or the lowest price.
On the side of the Nissan Almera, a Japanese, not a Korean or French brand, impressive size and more expensive appearance than that of Logan or VW Polo sedan. Thanks to Almer, the company was able to significantly reduce the price of the entrance ticket to the Nissan owners club, expand its presence in the regions and add to the already excellent sales results of another 60,000 Nissan Almera, scheduled for 2013. And what, a good plan.

Hyundai Solaris. Korean with a 1.4 engine (107 horsepower) on the handle, in the basic version of Classic costs 459,000 rubles, and with an engine of 1.6 (123 forces) is 40,000 more expensive. Prices for similar cars in intermediate versions of Optima and Comfort from 489,000 to 557,000 rubles. The machine adds to the price of any Solaris 35,000 rubles, regardless of the set and engine selection. Slaris 1.6 in the Family configuration will cost the most expensive: 638,000 are asked for it (only with an automatic transmission).
VW Polo. The Volkswagen Polo Setan engine provides only one 1.6-liter, 105-horsepower. In the basic modification of Trendline Polo can be bought exclusively with five -speed mechanics for 449,000 rubles. Prices for the average version of Comfortline will start from a mark of 530 100 rubles. Such a Polo can already be equipped with automatic. The most expensive Highline modification is estimated at least 594,500 rubles.
