The new eight -cylinder CL 500 develops a capacity of 285 kW/ 388 hp, the maximum torque 530 Nm starting with 2800 rpm. This means that the new engine exceeds the predecessor V8 by power by 26% and by torque by 15%. Four -valve gas distribution system, gas distribution phase control mechanism for inlet and graduation valves, a two-stage intake module and the flavor-outlets in the inlet channels-thanks to the use of these technical solutions, the new V8 is one of the most powerful engines in their class in working volume. From zero to 100 km/h, the new CL 500 accelerates only 5.4 seconds after the start (the previous model is 6.3 s).
 
At the same time, another modification - natural six hundredth - offers an even more sexual background. Under the hood of the new CL 600, a powerful 12-cylinder engine with a double turbocharging system operates. Its power in comparison with the predecessor increased by 12 kW/17 hp. and amounted to 380 kW/517 hp. The maximum torque is 830 nm (30 nm higher than before) develops from 1900 rpm and remains constant in a wide range of rotation frequency up to 3500 rpm. The new CL 600 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.6 s (predecessor - 4.8 s). Despite the significantly increased power, the updated V12 engine consumes an average of 0.4 liters less than the fuel than in the previous CL 600 model.
 
It was not by chance that I previously emphasized the convenience of the chair. Personally, I always suffer with cars that do not care about the features of my figure of an adult man weighing 110 kg. An active multi -circuit seat is also established here, which automatically adapting to the road situation: thanks to the use of new piezoclapans, the chair reacts even faster to turning the steering wheel, providing perfect side support. At the same time, the system of seat belts and pneumatic lumbar support are built into the front seats. That is, your slightly worn-out musculoskeletal system rests, while your brain pretends to be a process.
 
But the hand from time to time reaches for a gun. Having especially heard a strange expression club culture. Well, or to the speed lever. Here the box is automatic, so we will relax. Mercedes-Benz combines the automatic gearbox (basic equipment) with the new Direct Select gear shifts. The position of the automatic transmission modes P, R, N and D can be chosen by light pressing on the lever-selector located on the steering column. In fact, from such a car you expect that he will be Utykan with meaningless buttons in the manner of all known cars of famous automatic cars. But nothing like that! This is how this problem is solved in our Stuttgart: the general task was faced with engineers and designers - to reduce the number of switches and governing bodies. The main functions, as before, are in the driver's direct access zone, and the systems used less often are conveniently controlled by cOMAND system controller. Logically related functions are formally combined into groups - for example, the regulators of the position of the seats, windows or controls of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
 
Yes, indeed, after some time you start to communicate quite easily with the Comand handle, which is in normal accordance with similar developments of other premium brands. However, when you enter the territory of the yacht club in the south of Mallorca, where an excellent sea dinner awaits you, you don’t know attention to the Comand handle. Here we made a small scattering: we moved to a yacht like Sealine with an Israeli delegation on board and went to the city in the neighborhood.
