Test drive Mazda CX-7 2007-2009 SUV

Your repertoire

The European version of the Mazda CX-7, represented in Spain, liked our editor-in-chief. In the Russian version, the motor is deformed to 238 forces, and the box is an automatic box, but even in this form the CX-7 pleased us. The running presentation of the car took place on the roads of the Yaroslavl region.

In Yaroslavl, we flew to the gorgeous six -seater jets. In the parking lot of Ring Premier Hotel, seven multi-colored brand new, even not even run-in CC-7 were waiting for us. The car interior sets up in a sporting fret, and the steering wheel plays an important role here, like Mazda MX-5 (but larger diameter), as well as tidy with wells and dials with arrows down. The quality of the materials is average, but the assembly and design is on top.

The landing is convenient and quite low for a car of this class, so you feel better a car. Leather chairs are well fixed, but I would like more developed lateral support, especially in the horizontal part. The key-card lies in the pocket, start the motor with the rotation of the plastic handle at the site of the ignition lock. Ahead is a 260-kilometer route: Uglich, Rostov great and back to Yaroslavl.

As already mentioned, the turbo engine in the Russian version of the CX-7 is deformed. There will be no automatic machine in our market of the manual transmission to reduce power. But even I, a faithful adherent of a handle, was not upset. The new automatic transmission Mazda works excellently, quickly and at the right time changes the steps. There is only a small delay in the answer to the kik-Dawn. The machine is imperceptible, only the movement of the tachometer arrow and the changing timbre of the motor reports about it.

You can play with manual mode. The direct gear is fourth, it is on it that the CC-7 reaches the limited 180 km/h. The other two programs are economical, but they also allow you to accelerate very confidently. The limit of 180 km/h seemed too strict, because even at such a speed the crossover goes along the medium -quality road, as along the string. The suspension is harsh and regularly informs the riders about the flaws of the coating. But this is not annoying, rather, on the contrary, with pleasure you note its composure and elasticity. I did not like only that the sharp steering wheel has to be tightly compressed on the waves of the road surface.

In the turns, the CC-7 once again surprised passing control! The rolls are minimal, the car unshakably withstands the trajectory even on a broken road. In the limit, in response to the discharge of gas and the driving of the steering wheel, the skid was developing, but it turned out, perhaps, even hotly. Most likely, this is why the ESP system was made inseparable. He struck the consumption of gasoline. Almost half of the 70-liter tank we burned in the first 100 km of path! Of course, we drove into full speed, reveling in the dynamics, but still 28.6 liters per hundred is too much. The rest of the path was overcome slowly, evaluating the advantages of cruise control on the half-empty Yaroslavl routes. As a result, it was possible to bring down the consumption of up to 21 liters. But still, the indicator is not bad. Most likely, it will decrease after running in. Indeed, during the French test, European versions ate about 18 liters per 100 km.

I liked the car beautiful, powerful, well -controlled. In addition, we love it big and tall. Well, again, the price. CC-7 in the Touring configuration costs about $ 45,000. The closest competitor is seen by the Nissan Murano, although it has more litting, but powerful characteristics are similar. And the dimensions are proportionate. That's just asking for Murano $ 10,000 more. It is not surprising that multi-month queues are built on the CX-7. However, for Mazda this is a common situation.

Prices and configuration

Mazda CX-7 in Russia can only be bought with a 2.3 DISI Turbo engine and a 6-speed automatic. Two configurations: Touring and Sport. Prices 1,141,000 and 1,239,000 rubles, respectively.
