After the presentation of the charged version of XF R and XK R, with a 5 -liner compressor engine, Jaguar presented the atmospheric version of this motor. The novelty will replace the unit with a volume of 4.2 liters. The heart of a car that corresponds to EURO 5 economies, literally crammed with modern technologies. It is worth highlighting the direct injection of fuel and the gas distribution phase control system. Compared to a 4.2 -fraud option, a 5 -frail engine has become more powerful by 29%. On mountain serpentines, if you squeeze the suspension with the settings and put the motor into sports mode as much as possible, XF is very reminiscent of a sports car. You forget that you are driving a luxury sedan.
Perevlov in the XK compartment, the body of which is made of aluminum, the same route managed to drive even faster. The compartment is tougher than the sedan. The result was more acute reactions on the steering wheel and gas pedal. The exhaust system fills the cockpit with a noble sports sound that appears at maximum speed.
But not only the engine of the engines will be replenished with a gasoline engine. Another novelty of the 3.0 diesel engine, the uniqueness of which for the first time for the engine with the V-shaped cylinder location is used parallel-sequent turbocharged. Two low and high pressure turbines work in the engine. One adds the moment at low speeds, the other at high. As a result, already at 2000 min-1, the moment reaches a maximum of 600 nm! Thanks to such settings and the design of the motor as a whole, diesel can boast of a very low fuel consumption and incredible traction in the entire speed range.
