But I showed up here with a jocker in my arms. True, attention to my person was not attracted by the cost of a state -owned car. Here, wherever you spit, you will get into a chic and exotic car. Infiniti EX35 against their background, in fact, a budget purchase. But the car is new. So new that even the Los Angeles elite has not yet gained it. And the ball in this city is ruled not so much by luxury as exclusive.
Perhaps some newfangled Ferrari (or Toyota Prius, if already completely) would have produced a larger splash. But in this city, Japanese premium marks are also held in high esteem. Lexus (Toyota), Acura (Honda) or Infiniti (Nissan) here, every third of the category of sufficiently wealthy citizens. They like just such a premium metal.
EX35 is assigned the most important role in the history of Infiniti. It is with this model in 2008 that the company will debut in Western Europe. But the Russians, like the Americans, are already well familiar, as well as the latest developments of the assertive FX45 and the G35 compartment, a wealthy relative of a slightly less roomy 350Z. EX35 shares a platform with both machines, but looks more compact in comparison with FX (it is 173 shorter and 79 mm lower). In fact, our hero is a classmate BMW X3, although it is positioned as something completely unique in the Crosser compartment.
EX35 will surround with comfort in the disgusting city crowd. And he will please the abundance of toys, which the Japanese traditionally did not stint on. What are only cameras of video surveillance, viewing the space around the car for all 360.
The interior is deprived of the spirit of German thoroughness, how the BMW or Audi salons are permeated. But it is characterized by bright and even somewhat exotic luxury. At the same time, Infiniti designers managed to avoid pretentiousness, which, which is sinful, is characteristic of the Japanese. Do not forget: this is only a pre -production sample. In European Infiniti, other accents will appear in the decoration of the skin and slightly modified buttons. Do not understand me inadvertently: the test sample in terms of finishing and fitting is in perfect order. Dark skin gets along well both with a black tree and with pseudoaluminum alliance of quality and grace. Front seats will accept the sadoks of any Constitution. But the place is not enough behind. Especially if some basketball player is located ahead.
EX35 begins to show its character with the first starter speed. The sound of the engine is muffled, but easily recognizable by the uterine roar, which Infiniti emits at a full throttle. A familiar 350z and Murano 3.5-liter six gives out 289 hp. Sound accompaniment is almost like the same 350z and Murano. Unlike Murano, EX is content with an ordinary 5-band automaton. But by the time of the European debut, other transmissions can be registered here.
At the first stage, Europeans offer only gasoline versions. Developed jointly with the Renault 3-liter V6 diesel with a capacity of 280 hp. It will be possible to order since 2009. Only versions with all -wheel drive will go for the ocean. Infiniti Americans pamper both all -wheel drive and rear -wheel drive modifications.

Ex and here, at ease, he grinds through the sands, with zeal, prescribing turns.
EX is noticeably rolled in turns, in contrast, for example, from X3. But tell me the heart: do many need the ultimateness of the Bavarian crossover? EX offers in return comfortable riding, coupled with sharp and clear control. However, shock absorbers, in my opinion, could make a little more stringent. Before the European debut, the chassis engineers will still conjure over the ex. They have to adapt the crossing of the crossover to European roads. Perhaps my desire will be fulfilled.
Stopping once again on red, I am making an interesting observation. The creators of the EX35 clearly tried to stick out his off -road entity. But in fact, the driver’s seat is only slightly higher than in the BMW of the 5th series. I see it with my own eyes, studying the five slowly. Perhaps that is why, in comparison with full -fledged SUVs, such as Murano, EX35 demonstrates habits rather a car.
I go back to the coast, leaving Malibu's beach behind with his bright neat houses. EX35 is here in its element. This car is quite consistent with the spirit of Los Angeles, where it is important to be successful, but even more important to demonstrate that success has come naturally.
If necessary, EX35 can light up, it tolerates the lack of asphalt without any problems, but in standard modes it is just a comfortable, high -quality car of noble blood. Extreme spirit is adjacent to elitism and sports.
Can EX35 be considered an analogue BMW X3? More likely no than yes. The novelty of Infiniti, as always, is too original so that it can be compared with someone directly.
