Hyundai has finalized the rear suspension of Solaris's bestseller. Carclub.ru correspondent was versed in the benefits of these changes.Since its appearance, Hyundai Solaris immediately joined the camp of folk cars and quickly took the top of the standings of sales of new cars in Russia. As a result, the Korean novelty achieved its own and literally burst into the first place, becoming the best-selling foreign car in Russia.
Stylish design, a large selection of configurations, affordable price and a powerful advertising campaign started by Koreans, have bear fruit. But, despite the fact that for the Russian market the car turned out to be very successful and in demand, Hyundai failed to avoid the shortcomings of Hyundai.
The main questions for Solaris, which managed to travel last year, caused a suspension. While driving on straight and even roads, which we do not have so many, the car obeyed the steering wheel well and kept the way. But as soon as the coating spoiled, the irregularities on the roads began to cause deviations from the trajectory. The car walked in the ruts and threateningly wagged the stern in corners, trying to rearrange the back. In addition, when the waves appear on the asphalt, Hyundai Solaris scared passengers with a tangible tank of the body.
Even taking into account the fact that on the primer and bumps, the Korean bestseller pleased with the smoothness of the course, too soft suspension made itself felt on other coatings. During its design, the main attention was clearly paid to the smoothness of the course, pushing the controllability of Solaris into the background.
Complaints of the owners and negative reviews in the press forced Hyundai to subject the rear suspension to the improvements and now all the solarians are equipped with new shock absorbers and slightly more rigid springs. Despite the fact that in technical terms these changes are not significant, in fact, the difference was tangible, and the behavior of the car has changed quite seriously.
Now Hyundai Solaris is more reliable, the reactions have become more transparent. Among the most noticeable changes, the increased stability of the straight, less attention of rut, and most importantly, Hyundai Solaris stopped wagging backwards. From now on, you can keep a given trajectory on the arc quite calmly, not afraid that having met any irregularity, the rear axle will immediately fly off the course, which is fraught with a skid and further unpleasant consequences.
The above problems have disappeared, and Hyundai Solaris has become a collected and predictable car. The only thing you can complain about is the reduced smoothness, which, it seems to me, is a very reasonable payment for safety on the road.
