I don’t know what rocked me to a greater extent of the driver of the driver or a lullingly soft suspension of Grandeur himself, but from the car after an hour's trip I went sleepy, even though the matches are inserted into my eyes. Who would have thought that after only a few minutes from the drift mood there would be neither a trace nor smoke. The new Hyundai Genesis turned out to be a tonic worse than soluble coffee or a jar of Red Bul. Formally, he, like Grandeur, belongs to the segment of business sedans, but in fact these cars are different, like America and Asia, like CSKA and Spartak, like whiskey and hooks. If the previous model tried, and not to say that it is especially successful, fencing with Camry and Teana, then Genesis without a twinge of conscience challenges premiums like BMW, Lexus and Audi! Boldly? And how! And for courage alone, the car deserves close attention.

Although I must admit that the strict face control of Genesis withstands without difficulty: a very noble and confident appearance. Hyundai may not have enough some immediately recognizable corporate element is true. But after all, the breed is leaving for years. The plus of the car is that the new Genesis new Genesis is not at all like swimming and boring Grandeur.

The lack of a recognizable Hyundai emblem also draws attention. Rather, it takes place, but only on the lid of the trunk, but the radiator grill is decorated with an unfamiliar signature sign. But the musical system from the American Hi-End Brand Lexicon pleases immensely, like the leather decoration of the cabin and the most complete set of equipment, which can be represented for a business class sedan: from parking sensors up to 10 airbags.

But all this is lyrics. Genesis shows the real nature only at high speed, and this is his fundamental difference from the predecessor. The car is built on a completely new, and most importantly, rear -wheel drive platform (at Grandeur, if you were forgotten, the front wheels are leading wheels). Add to this an independent suspension in front and back, a 290-horsepower V-shaped six-l with a volume of 3.8 liters, paired with a 6-speed automatic, instantly reacting to the driver’s orders, and you will receive an athletan that Hyundai has never had.

Powerful acceleration from the place, a session of chess on the semi -empty Novorizhi highway, and finally the slalom on the long -shot asphalt snake, adrenaline is torn to the outside. I think that my morning driver has such a style of communication with the car, I would hardly have found approval, as well as the harsh pendant with the imposing Grandeur. But you know ... Hyundai Genesis should not particularly surprise very bright riding talents. Indeed, on the same chassis as the sedan, though slightly shortened, has been built by Genesis Coupe, which has been sold in Russia since 2010. Our opinion
You definitely haven't seen such Hyundai. In Genesis, not only the level of equipment and not even a high price, but a really competent chassis, worthy of comparison with the best representatives of sports business sedans are striking. But it will still be! At the February car dealership in Chicago, Genesis debuted with a 5-liter V8 and an 8-speed automatic transmission. What is it, if not an attack on the BMW M5?
